You guys can ***** about the beach, hate it or whatever you want. Nothing is more relaxing then the sounds of the waves crashing while sitting on a beach chair drinking your favorite beverage. I am also a fan of lakes too, but typically I prefer sand in my toes.

So does every other state not listed in my Top 10. Illinois has lots to do if you are fan of urban living, and they have Lake Michigan. Idaho is not terrible, but I am not going out of my way to visit there. I drove through it going to Spokane. That is all I know of it, and there is not a lot of "Come see me" places it is known for. I'd replace it with Texas, but like Illinois it has a lot of good living for urban type people.

New Mexico has too many Top places to visit to put on the list. Virginia is not too exciting either.
95% of ND is basically a mirror of SD, minus the Black Hills. I like the black hills but most of the activities in the BH can be done other places, with less people. It's really all about what people are into. I know people who love fly fishing a mountain stream. I would take a boat and bass fishing any day.

The only "scenery" that doesn't get boring after a short time is a hot wife and large numbers on your investment accounts. I can be happy anywhere with those two things.

I’d say Mississippi, Louisiana, & Alabama are far less interesting and generally crappier than Idaho, Wisconsin and Michigan. That article is useless tripe.
