He reminds me of Bill Walsh in the aspect that he is very detail and process oriented. I am NOT predicting he is going to have that level of success but I do believe in that approach as a pathway to turning things around.

Comes off as not full of ****, and that’s impressive because he could easily be labeled that with how incredibly well has embraced and been embraced by Husker Nation.

Embraced the state and city of Lincoln. The guy is visible and attends a lot of events. Not sure that translates well to wins and losses but tells me he wants to be here. This isn't just a stop along the career path.

Reaching out to schools in the state and being visible to them can only help us long term.

Love his approach to former players and getting them involved. Not so much what it was like but what was needed to reach that level of success.

Everything else is hard to read until game day.

Yeah, right now he just seems to be doing "those things" right. Frost seemed to hate the media and dislike the love of the fans and I get that to a point but I think that the more you are out in public, the less the fans bother you because it is not a big deal. Don't forget, Bo was out in the public so much that fans did not even bother to take a picture of him getting physically thrown out of a middle school basketball game and physically escorted out of a middle school softball game...and starting a fight in a hotel basement.

I think Rhule is out so much that fans almost leave him alone. Frost pretended like he snitched on the mob and was in witness relocation.

The number one thing is he's undefeated so far as the Husker head coach! Winking

I’ll add he embraces our rich history and has
talked to the people that made this program what it once was by talking to the coaches and players of those era’s..

I am going to wait till see the product on the field. He talks a great game, pushes all the right buttons, and understands how to guide a conversation.

To date, he seems to have built the foundation the correct way, has weeded out the players that do not fit his vision or schemes, has appeared to get the players to be extremely competitive in some of his workout games, and has been able to get some big recruits on campus...

By the fourth game, the work he has put in will be revealed on the field.

He bought into Trev's vision. He's now selling that vision to the recruits, fans and the state/country.

Everything except the beard. He and Frosty both have trouble in this area.

if you can grow one, do so. If you can’t then shave.

He's got a plan and knows how to implement it. He's looking long term. Build it the right way.

I also like the fact that it appears that he's trying to win at Nebraska by playing a physical brand of football, which is the only way that has ever worked.

I don't like that he and his staff wear black fleeces. He should wear scarlet all the time. And if he comes out at Minnesota wearing one of those sleeveless smocks, I'll start a "Fire Rhule" site.

He seems genuine. Reminds me of Jerry Kill in that way. Shortage of real people out there these days.

Do not take this the wrong way because I am hopeful. Love the Huskers and Rhule seems to be doing the right things. My answer is still, "I don't know". I want to see him coach some games before I anoint him the next great thing.

Genuine is the first thing that popped in my head. You can only connect with people the way he does if you’re real. I think the family environment he’s building here will also get talent here. The smart kids that can tell the car salesman from who genuinely cares for them will come here. And the Mothers of those kids will be more than happy to let their kid come play for him.

I know Rhule hasn’t played a game, and ultimately, that is what he will be judged upon.

But since the question is what do you like this far, I like his attention to detail, his genuine nature, and his love of the state, fans and university.

there's 2 things I forgot to mention,

4. I don't hear lot music blaring over the coaches during practice
5. there was actual tackling in the spring game

has he bought a house in Lincoln? I think I heard him say he flew his family in the other day.
does he stay at the cornhusker hotel?

What was wrong with that take? Was there something factually incorrect? Is it a sin to take a wait and see approach before piling on? Apparently you think so.

I thought it was a fair assessment, but more and more this places feels like a cult. You can't actually discuss different points of view with anyone. You either get on board the official narrative or you get attacked.
Probably because in your assessment of Rhule you can’t help but take shots at posters who appreciate what they are seeing so far and calling them sheep for allowing themselves to be excited about what Rhule can potentially accomplish. Every post you make you are the enlightened one and the rest of us are a bunch of idiots.

You’re so smart but can’t understand why people call you out. You called a recruit retarded for goodness sakes in a post that is nowhere to be found now. And you think the problem is with regular, run of the mill posters?

He seems to have a bit of Devaney in him, personable, outgoing and energetic. Well maybe with less drunkenness lol. Just hope he can win like the bobfather.
