Which players said anything bad about Rhule? Only player I've read or heard (haven't looked because I don't care) is McCaffery on a podcast I listen to, and he had nothing but praise for him
There were a couple of players from the Panthers that made some comments. I couldn’t care less about that. The NFL is a very different animal than college. Matt has success with college kids.

This staff has developed relationships all over the NFL and college. Rhule has mentioned Woodhead before. Not sure who the Viking backer is there for but no doubt he’s either a friend or relative of a player or a staff member.
MJ Sherman, an NU player who transferred from Georgia, is pictured with Cine, a Vikings rookie DB who played at Georgia. So it seems reasonable the former teammates are friends.

LOL, yes it's gets more "real" for sure but it really gets totally real when the first game arrives in the Fall.
You Sir are correct! Haha!
Can’t remember what that was from, maybe Monte Python.

Anyway, you are right, I meant real in the sense that we have actual football reports to talk about and real in that the competition heats up if you want to still be here in the Fall.

The biggest Whiner was Joe Brady who knew Shanle from his time in New Orleans. Rhule canned him. Joe Burrow made Brady a huge amount of money and he’s been a below average offensive coach ever since.

Hope to God, he’s got his head right! What a F’n Beast he can be!
I wouldn’t buy all the BS coming out of the Frost camp about any kid. There may be a bit of truth, but he was nothing more than a grifter holding on as long as he could. He wouldn’t hesitate to trash a kid if it meant he could get to the course quicker

I was wondering who #19 was

here's the answer for anyone else who spotted the newcomer:

This is an important addition just because of our current injuries and lack of experience.
I didn’t realize Synek left.
I don’t know anything about him, but Woche having been at IMG and Ole Miss is a solid walk-on pickup.

Synek left? Ouch. He’s going to be a nice pick up for someone.

My favorite part is DC White screaming:
every single play take the ball!!”

For day 1, they’re showing what the goal is. Get the ball back.
I'm giddy about the new DC. But if we remember the schmuck we had before claimed to be all about turnovers and getting the ball back for the "high powered" offense.
I just hope we are tough, fast and have multiple defenders flying to the ball every time.

Absolutely. Talk is cheap. All we got is anticipation for prove it time.
This is all just prep work.

All that Tony Robbins crap doesn't mean a thing if we are sitting at 2-9 in November. In fact, it might get on fan's nerves, the same fans all wide eyed and bushy tailed presently.
Let's face it, in terms of being on the demonstrative scale our coach is way closer to row-the-boat than he is to the Osborne-Wooden side.
Big talk and gimmicky motivational techniques have a real limited value.
They may have some minor effect given your core, your foundation is rooted in the real thing.

He’s more like Osborne, then Fleck where it’s most important… He’s won conference championships and played in conference championship games. Fleck won a conference championship I suppose at Western Michigan, but he’s never played in the conference championship game in the Big Ten. Just food for thought…

I’m not sure how you get “Big talk and gimmicky motivational techniques” from a HC that is trying to flip the roster. He will probably snag a couple more Portal guys if they fit our most pressing needs. All of this leading to guys who compete and buy in, or pack their bags,

What the holy hell are you talking about? Ruhle is all about the players, Fleck is all about himself. Coach Rhule has a heck of a alot more in common with TO, from his faith to his philosophy degree, than he does with that slimeball Fleck.

TO and had his motivational tactics, all coaches do, and so does MR. But having players compete is a heck of a lot different than having your own sponsors, trade marked slogans, and making players give you a standing ovation when you enter a room.

First thing Rhule has done as our head coach I don't like. And I don't like the single digit jersey thing ALOT. This is something you do with a junior high team. Motivating players by them aspiring for a single digit jersey is something you do at Temple. Here at Nebraska, we expect every player to play tough whether he has jersey #1 or #99. I can see where this kind of thing, Matt's teambuilding tug of wars, etc. went over like a lead balloon with his professional players at Carolina, and they said as much.

So Buford #1, Newsome #6, Washington #7, Farmer and Smothers #8, and AJ Allen #9 lose their numbers. So much for him showing up and saying these are "all my guys". He just stripped guys who weren't really his guys of their numbers. Numbers are important to players.
It seem to work at his last stop. Those weren’t jr highs were they.

2-9 in November, is that your prediction? This big talk worked at his other 2 college stops, why won’t it work here?

Can you please update this post tomorrow morning when you sober up or take your meds?

I reviewed your post history and you are a very angry person.

Back in the day you would have gotten a week suspension for a post like this. But since the changeover to InsideNebraska, anything goes and your hate is what we freeboard people live with nowadays. I just ignore posters like you who have absolutely noting to offer.
If you ignore him then what do you have to worry about?

What am I talking about? First off, I want to see substance, not talk. These are all the same kinds of comments we have bogged through with all our other unsuccessful coaches. I get his style and I hope it works out well but I am not a big believer in this type of motivation. Nothing all that wrong with it but it does not take the place of real motivation. Putting in long hours in the gym, practice watching tape is what brings motivation. A person who works hard for something will not give it up easily.
Are the black shirts a motivation that makes a difference? It makes no difference if you havne't done the important, real stuff.
In 95, Colorado had their players come out of the stands to enter the stadium. They came out stomping and strutting and their fans were going nuts. On our first drive they made some pretty good plays and jumped on the pile and celebrated like they had won the world series, superbowl, and bowl playoffs in one fell swoop. They had 'that' kind of motivation.
Then for the next 58 minutes of game time our superior team dominated every aspect of the game.
