Nebraska currently in 7th place in team points. Barely ahead of Arizona State. Good showing so far, considering how the season started. Would have been nice to see how NU would have finished is Ridge Lovett had not redshirted this year.
Hardy (141) loses 5th place match by injury default. He got hurt yesterday in the semis and tried to gut it out, but reinjured in medal round.
Thought I saw early in the year he was taking an Olympic redshirt season. Not exactly sure what that is but i think concentrates on international competition.
Why will Cronin get 5? Wasn't it supposed to be Lee and Cronin for 3rd and 4th? How does that work
Losing in semis drops wrestlers into the consolation bracket. Can get no worse than 8th (AA status) but still need to wrestle to get to the 3rd place match.
Penn State clinched the team title with Iowa looking to be a distant second and Lee withdrew from the tourney after losing in the semis. Today is a good day to laugh at Iowa. I'm about an hour from State College so if I see any of the PSU wrestlers I'm going to buy the f*ckers a round of drinks

Penn State wrestling is the only sport that does not deserve scorn and ridicule. Their coach, Cael Sanderson, seems top notch and a classy guy. They have clearly supplanted I_wa as the best program. Added bonus for that.
What an a-hole! She is acting like her sons opponent cheated and then penetrated him and got away with it. Isn't he the Iowa wrestler that is always a jerk to his opponents? If he is, I see where he gets it. F-ing crybaby.
Minus the Joe Pa bots and some football fans in general I don't have much problem with most PSU fans. (Living where I do and living with a few PSU fans I have to say that, lmao) The Sandusky business was a black eye for the whole region not just State College or Penn State. It still makes me angry.
Certainly no problem with wrestling. I'll admit I even went to a match several years back when a relative had some extra tickets. They're fun to watch. Cael Sanderson was a great wrestler and maybe even a better coach. And watching them blast Iowa is a bonus, lol.
Honestly I find Ohio State football fans who live in PA to be more obnoxious and arrogant. I may be born and raised in PA at least I have a Nebraska connection instead of just being a bandwagon OSU football fan, lol.

Ridiculous amount of wrestling talent in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey from sheer numbers of population. It's impressive Iowa was as good as they were for as long as they were considering the mostly got guys from the Midwest. They are now dipping their feet into the East Coast more, but it doesn't matter because Penn State takes the best wrestlers from the East and every other part of the country.
You may be thinking of Austin DeSanto who was a world class a hole. Look him up on YouTube if you want evidence. Nelson brands is also a tool.

I went to a small high school in PA but we always seemed to have some good wrestlers. High school wrestling is a big event this time of year. Pennsylvania puts out a lot of good recruits in turn.
We love our high school football the most. But come winter I'd say wrestling is likely tops for this area. Though I'm not so sure where basketball ranks because our high school teams always sucked. Too many short people at least in our town to ever be good, lol.
