the point is 2 of our 3 best players won't be back next year and all we've accomplished in 5 years is getting on the NIT bubble

has nothing to do with that poster, who I'm sure is a dumb fat loser

has everything to do with the above being good enough to earn years 6 & 7 in some people's eyes
I totally agree, this half-assed reset every year under Hoiberg is the definition of failure. I choose to place some thought (not hope) towards the idea that maybe Hoiberg finally has some semblance of a plan or an identity. But I doubt it. Anyway, he's coming back so we're stuck with him.

It's the Nebraska basketball way to show signs of life only to kick fans in the balls, rip their hearts out and stomp on it.

I want Keita to get more playing time, but not at the expense of Walker's minutes. NU needs Walker on the floor as much as possible in order to be competitive, so I really wish Fred would get over his aversion to playing them together. It worked out fine last night because the shots were falling and because Rutgers often failed to convert on its second-chance opportunities. But I feel like Keita's rebounding and defense are too valuable for him to be confined to the bench.

It also drives me crazy that so many BB coaches let the other team's lineup decisions dictate who they put on the floor: "OMG OMG OMG, they went small now we have to!"
Keita is pretty slow and that game was played at a furious pace. I think that would have been a bad matchup for him.

Good deal. I’m happy to be playing well enough for the majority of our fans to want to keep him.

There were plenty of reasons Keita could have struggled against Wisconsin too, but he didn’t. Time to inject some player development into the program and allow the young guys to show if they belong or not. It’s not like anyone remembers if you finished 11th instead of 10th.

Unless the reason he’s looked slow is that he’s not healthy. It’s kind of silly IMO to criticize not playing him given the way we played in that game. As I said, I don’t think the way Rutgers played fit Keita’s skills very well.

Rutgers ranks 217th in the nation in possessions per game while the Huskers are #225. While that may be a fast-paced matchup compared to Wisconsin (342), it doesn't exactly scream "up-tempo lineups only."

Interesting that only the B1G's crazy-go-nuts road runners - Iowa (65) and Illinois (100) - are even in the top 100.

no different than football

our beloved conference insists on eschewing offense at every turn

Maryland isn’t a good on the road team and I don’t think Nebraska can beat Sparty and the Herky’s, so I think the Sker’s will finish 2-2 the last four regular season games..

That loss in OVT to Purdue really sucks which possibly give then .500 season and a NIT bid..

Regardless of how many possessions there were their pressing and trapping meant we needed people on the floor who could move. The tempo had more to with ball movement and traps than it did how quickly each team got shots off.
