Close. But Herschel Walker built the Cowboys 3 Super Bowl teams in the 90s. J Johnson fleeced the **** out of the Queens.

Also just remembered Ditka trading away the Saints entire draft for Ricky Williams. But I'm not intending to take anything away from the Russell Wilson deal. The Wilson trade was bad, but the money they threw at him was beyond ridiculous.

When you consider the 1/4 billion they locked up I’d sai it beats Hershel. Jimmy didn’t fleece per say as much as he was a draft guru. He hit on the 4th rounders, 2nd rounders, etc. Over 100 million in dead cap money if they cut him. Just crazy!!!

It doesn’t help that they hired maybe the worst hire they could’ve made for the head coach…Hackett makes Vic Fangio look like Belichick

The trade was bad, but the ridiculous contract extension is what really handcuffed the Broncos. Now they’re stuck with his fat *** for at least a couple more seasons.

Maybe they thought they could have got A-Rod with Hackett. But he has been an absolute disaster as a HC.
I think that was pretty much 95% the assumption in hiring him…I’ll be surprised if he’s on the sidelines next year

Those 3 Dallas SB's in the 90s John Blake was the DL coach for all 3 of them.

Absolutely. If you or I went to a foreign country and broke their drug laws we would rot in a foreign prison. Celebrity has its perks if you’re the right kind of celebrity. She hits the trifecta of right.

Broncos didn’t want to offend Russ by having an actual backup QB, but you wonder just how bad he would have to play for Hackett to bench him. Even Brett Ryoien can’t play any worse.

Deshaun Watson trade is looking bad right now as well. What makes it worse is Watson got paid while being a total pos.

Broncos defenders are sick of playing their asses off and having nothing to show for it, due to the clown show on the other side of the ball. Can’t really blame them too much for caving in after Fatty gifted the Rams a couple of early scores.

That I'm not sure of. Whoever made the trade for Wilson should pack a bag tho.
They did that before they sold the team. Not sure if the GM that did that and hired their coach is still there. It’s hard to imagine how wrong the perception of him was.

The new owners haven’t really made any major changes - yet.

The GM who hired Hackett and brought Wilson over is still in place, at least for the moment. My guess he will have to send Hackett packing to save his own job.

They both need to get axed. That GM screwed the Broncos for years.

Worst trade of all time?
Written this a couple of times, now. Russell started to decline the last two seasons with the Seahawks. Especially the second half of each season. He made up all this BS about Pete Carroll holding him back when in actuality he knew he had to get out of Seattle to another team to get another big contract. Carroll and GM John Schneider were not going to give one to him. Denver were suckers and now they are stuck with a very bad QB. Two of his interceptions I watched him throw today were just plain bad. on one Russell's intended receiver was covered by FOUR Ram defenders and the one ex-teammate Bobby Wagner made was equally as bad. Bobby was making a move on the TE as Russell passed the ball. Combine that with taking sacks, Russell is just plain awful.

Spot on. I’ll add that as you know politics and super wealth also helps a great deal. Griner had political donors from the far left pushing for a deal all along.

Apparently Seattle’s management did.
Yep. Seattle saw the slippage in his play. In hindsight, we all should have realized that replacing a great QB whose skills are declining with a journey man QB (Gino Smith) wouldn’t hurt the Seahawks that badly. And now Seattle is really getting set up for another run.

Tough to argue that. 3 firsts, a 3rd and 2 fourths. Then you pay him the largest contract in history. All to have a perverted narcissist leading your team? And then he doesn’t play well! Ouch.

So what does Denver do here?? Ask Russ for a break and part ways if they can get him to restructure some of the damage? .....and if Russ says no does it matter who's coaching them? Denver is the most stuck franchise I can remember in a long time.

Dishonorable mention to the Rams for using the 6th pick in the draft on Lawrence Phillips with all of his red flags especially when they already had Jerome Bettis. And then they trade Bettis to the Steelers for what amounted to a 3rd round pick!

On top of dumping and over paid aging QB they’re going to be able to pick one of the top QBs 3 years in a row if they want. Seattle hit the lottery. They might have to pay Gino to keep him as a bridge but damn they’ve got some ammo going forward.

Yup. Saw next year's draft order. Seattle is sitting back watching Denver's implosion and their pick go higher each week. Lol

The crazy thing is, Wilson wasn't wildly overpaid until after he got to Denver. The Broncos ponied up for his huge new contract after he showed up for training camp with a beer belly and bat wings, looking like he hadn't been inside a weight room since he left Madison.
