Credit to Fred Hoiberg too! Rough career in Lincoln so far, but some positive developments this season!
I kept waiting for a terrible turn of events, but they had no answer for our defense or walker.

Is is possible that maybe—just maybe—Fred Hoiberg could still end up being the coach we thought we were getting back in 2019?

Today didn’t feel like a fluky win. I thought we looked better the whole game, and Creighton was largely reduced to desperate 3s because of our defense.
Creighton is a bad team this year. They'll be lucky to win 10 games. They're all shooting set shots like schuckermann.
There was this crazy notion that because they brought back guys from a team that got an amazing draw last year (San Diego St) that they were going to be amazing this year.
I’ll take credit for their win. I forgot it was on or I would have been listening at the farm. No way they would they have won if I had tuned before I did.

Not only was it not fluky, it's very repeatable. Huskers didn't make a bunch of crazy, difficult shots. They just attacked the rim early in the shot clock, took very high-percentage shots and played stout defense.
NU probably doesn't make The Dance with this game plan, but they can sure as Hell have their best season in a long time.
