Also remember Busch and Ruud have some chemistry together too. Bill was OLB coach during Ruuds Sr year. So maybe he can help BR out some

Micky Joseph looks like a friggin idiot! Yesterday he says it’s all on him. Then follows it up with “There won’t be any staff changes” wtf? It perpetuates the dumpster fire narrative. Trev needs to be next

Following the Cornhuskers' blowout loss, Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd posted a message on Twitter specifically for Nebraska fans.

Cowherd tweeted, "Nebraska fans — just keep blaming the coaches."

Obviously, this was Cowherd's way of taking a jab at the fans who thought all of Nebraska's problems would be solved once Frost got fired.

The problems are deep and systemic. They all land at Frosts feet. No quick fixes, no bandaids this year.

My only hope is that the guys keep battling.

Mickey won't be our next coach. He's been tossed into the deep end. He's not equipped for this. Who could be?

It was on him for keeping Chin for the OU game. So he was right.
Stupid Tweet! It was Frost’s fault for poor recruiting and development of players. Can’t fix 5 years of this in 5 days!
we have good enough players to field a better team than we’ve seen. Chinander has been a huge part of our problem

It probably won't make much of a tangible difference this year but I don't care. I was so sick of seeing base defense in every situation, perhaps Busch will "try" faster players on receivers instead of relying on slow linebackers 100% of the time.
Agreed. Chins is/was Frost's closest connection left on the team. Maybe he wasn't taking criticism well. Who knows. Not surprising but I was wondering last night what they would do if Chins fired

Imagine that hot take: coaches show a 5-year track record of gross incompetence and job negligence, so Nebraska fans blame them for the terrible on-field product. Kind of like every other fan base in the country would do. Cowherd is a professional troll.

This. The importance of a new dc will be getting some younger faster players in the mix. Ruud needs to go as well as long as he continues to recruit guys wgo remind him of himself.

I tend to agree, however Fleck fired a DC mid season and saw great results
He was probably an outside guy though. We decide to get stupid and promote a guy from within who is already failing at his job.

Not impressed with DLine either. Not that Busch has been great either
We’re lacking talent there but Chin’ s schemes and calls put our players in horrible almost unwinnable positions. Ludicrous defensive schemes.

special teams have been much improved

I like Colin and listen to his show, but he is wrong, wrong! Every coach has deserved to be fired! Us, Huskers fans support, with money, attendence, and loyalty! We need coaches that develop a system, develop players! What we do as fans has relatively nothing to do with firing or hiring coaches! That's been taken over by Admin and others involved with influence! Not us fans!!!!! They, the previous supporters of influence and power have a personal agenda and we need Trev A. to try to fix it!

Feel for you guys. Actually thought this might be a close game. Worst Husker D I have ever seen. Almost as bad as the 2008 team but OU had Bradford, Murray and much better offensive players. Almost what Dr. Tom did to the Blake OU teams in '96-'97. Which got us Stoops. So there is hope. Hope you get Urban since OU will not play the Huskers for another 7 years.

He was asked if there were any changes being considered "above the player level". He said no. Then qualified it by saying not today, but there could be tomorrow. Also, I think most people recognize coach speak when he said it was all on him and not the assistants or players. I don't think he looks like an idiot. I think he looks like someone who is going to try anything to turn it around as much as he can because he knows insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Not a surprise but what would be a huge surprise is if it actually made any difference to the rest of the games this year.
I guess that depends on the players excepting change.. If their playing for the N that’s all we can ask..

For Chinander personally this actually is a good thing. Everybody including him knew that he wouldn't be retained on the staff next year any way. But being fired early means he'll get exactly the same pay that was guaranteed contractually but now he won't have to do any more work. He can concentrate on finding his next gig full time. For the fans, they'll feel good because he got axed. Won't make much difference (if any) to team results this year. It's a win-win.

Race card is typically used by liberal losers.
Improper use of race card. “Race card” is when someone wants to use their race to gain leverage. More appropriate complaint on your end would be “potentially false accusation of racist acts”…but then again there was realization change was needed to it was not really a false accusation

I knew Busch is from a small town in NE and had been around primarily as a consultant and special teams background, didn’t know about any extensive defensive work to be DC

He said he would have to look at film. Obviously he did...and didn't like what he saw.
