It is amazing how you keep telling us how little importance you place on AAU while trying to tell us how important it is.

It went from being super important and an embarrassment
Then
It went from fans talking about AAU not students
Then
Just sort of being aware about it.
Never said super important. Not even close. Actually pretty much everything you wrote is flat out wrong. Nice try though.

Maybe someone pointed this out and I missed it but you’re kind of leaving out some important information.

Illinois plays Virginia.
Minnesota plays Colorado.
MSU at Washington
Indiana at Cincinnati
Rutgers at BC
Purdue at Syracuse

Seems like every team has another P5 team scheduled. How good those teams are going to be when they actually play is a different story.
those games are a joke. Indiana @ Cincy should've been listed.

I said "headliners" very clearly in my post. the rest of the above is bottom billing (typical B1G).

It is a nice try, you are right.

So let me ask you to clarify. The AAU is or is not a big deal to you and to most fans, what say you?

Go back and look at the matchups…I’m to lazy to do it, but if your argument is that the B1G is a stronger conference, literally nobody who knows anything about football agrees.
4-4 Wake Forest vs 3-3 Wisconsin
#18 Mississippi St vs Unranked Iowa
#17 Utah vs #22 Northwestern
7-5 Miami vs 7-5 Wisconsin
7-5 Georgia Tech vs 6-6 Minnesota
7-5 Auburn vs 6-6 Purdue

Maybe you should look up the matchups. I know you are lazy and didn't look because that ^ is what you'll see. I'm not arguing anything just posting results on the field.

Also B1G is the highest paid conference as well. Enjoy!

Here’s my exact original quote:

Fans that go to schools that are in the AAU do. (Care about AAU)

I said nothing about a “big deal”, while clearly it is to you, which is ok. Actually as the discussion continued I simply said most fans of schools that are in the AAU “were aware” of it.

Get your facts straight.

So it is your assumption that fans (I can only assume you mean all fans) that go to schools that are in the AAU care about the AAU.

Even though I told you I went to an AAU school and did not even know it nor would I have cared.

Which immediately ruins your argument

Would you rather maybe say something like

"Look, this is just a reason to needle Husker fans because you are the only school in the conference NOT in the AAU, not like most fans care or even know what that is, but still, you guys are the only school that is not in it"

Do you just want to copy and paste that into a new post?

They act like the team they support is cutting them "Fan-Checks" at the end of the season or something.

hey, man, forget the super bowl.. which team do you think will increase its overall worth most this season??
It is all that matters!!!
Just like the AAU! That is why I only watch Ivy League football...because it is all about research dollars!

Most, not all, fans from schools in the AAU are aware and care. It’s my opinion, hard to prove or disprove (but I’m almost always right). But I see you’re Misrepresenting yet again, pretty pathetic. And I highly doubt you went to an AAU school, sorry but unfortunately NE doesn’t count.

Most, so 51%, is that fair?

So you really think that fans of AAU schools, 51%, are aware AND care? Like, they care as in they discuss it while talking about the team they like?

"Man, did you see that game last week, our QB is really tearing it up, not just on the field but also in his classes at the school, which as you are aware is part of the AAU"

You think that is what at least 51% of the fans do?

And don't be sorry, it is okay. Remember, I am arguing that fans don't care, which we keep proving they don't.

I went to Nebraska while it was still in the AAU

I never heard one single person mention it & had never heard of it until I came to this college football recruiting site where loser B1G fans flock like so many moths to an extra-bright flame

I would think higher than 51% but yes that counts as most.

Caring, and being aware, does not equal talking to your friends about it.

I’m losing interest in repeatedly proving you wrong and making you look foolish.

Anything else you’d like to talk about?

We are getting into semantics but you listed Pitt and BYU. Virginia, BC, Washington are in that group.

The initial point I was making is that the Big Ten plays 9 conference games while the SEC plays 8. It allows way more wiggle room for scheduling to have 8. I can’t wait for Iowa to not play ISU every year. So far, the series isn’t been renewed past 2025.

BYU is a regular in the top 25 and is a notoriously tough place to play

Pitt won the ACC last year

B1G fans must always spin falsehoods in an effort to show the conference as even mediocre

an extra game against indiana or rutgers makes it okay for michigan to duck an actual OOC opponent, for example? just pathetic stuff here from loser B1G fan du jour

I am positive once isu is off your schedule you will replace them with someone equally terrible because your school is very cowardly like 10/14 of its peers

No, I want to continue to talk about this topic because you claim you care about it so much, so please go on or are you admitting that you have never actually talked about it with your friends?

All you have told us is that you are "aware" of it but that you and your friends never mention it to each other.

Sounds like the title to a Cure song.

What other things are you hyper aware about and care for...but don't ever talk about with your friends or family?
The only topic I don’t talk about with family and friends is that it’s too bad that NE is the only B1G school not a member of the AAU, which tarnishes the reputation of the conference as a top athletic and academic conference.

Nick Saban has only scheduled 2 road games in his 15 years at Alabama.

Everyone on Georgia's conference schedule is unranked except #20 Kentucky.

The SEC plays four OOC games vs three for the Big Ten. So with 14 more slots, it makes sense that the SEC has a couple more tough OOC opponents.

Nebraska is playing OU and Michigan this year. How many blue bloods does Bama have on their schedule?

lol. Sorry you feel "disgraced", snowflake.

It is a light OOC schedule this year. And next. Makes up for when we played both Bama and ND OOC.

If the last playoff slot is between Michigan at 11-1 and ND at 11-1, ND might get the nod due to playing a tougher overall schedule. Or, a light overall schedule might get us in. Like Cincy last year. We'll have to wait and see.

how can you possibly look yourself in the mirror as a mich fan with that schedule?

if your cowardly team is 11-1, you will (correctly) have zero shot at a playoff birth, since your best win will come against a team with <8 wins

I can look myself in the mirror because I am not some kind of college football nut with an ego tied to the opinion of trolls like you.

Penn State could have ten wins. Sparty and Iowa could have nine.

As for cowardly, we have played ND over 40 times OOC. Since Harbaugh has been coach, in six seasons of OOC scheduling we have played the Irish twice, UCF, Florida, Cincy, Utah, Oregon St, BYU, Colorado and Washington.

So kindly f*** off.

Why don't you comment on Georgia's extremely weak conference schedule? Only #20 Kentucky is ranked.

No, Michigan should be playing a better schedule. I was just pointing out that your list is biased. You’re not a complete idiot so I’m confident you do it on purpose, which is fine because you aren’t hurting my feelings. When I bring facts to threads here, I’m not talking to you. I’m talking to other posters that use their brains in an unbiased manner.

When the Big Ten was at 8 conference games, Iowa scheduled games with Arizona, ASU, Pitt, etc., on top of ISU. Your narrative doesn’t hold water….again.

I would bet you whatever you'd like that the aggregate rank of the SEC east >>> the aggregate rank of the b1g west when the season's over
How can the aggregate rank of a division change during divisional play?

The SEC was 3-7 (plus a forfeit) in the non-Playoff Bowls. The Big Ten was 6-2.
