You don't even have the current name of the Huskers...some fan.

Pot meet kettle.
Really? Is that the best comeback you have? Is Raul Jones a current name of the Huskers? When you post, the whole boards IQ drops substantially. Bet you're a riot at the office.

Lmao....grammar police. At least I can blame my phone. You are just a sht poster on purpose. That's after rereading your own post.

Name those great recruits we got the last 8 years.
Right after you tell why 7 black athletes would even want to play at Nebraska because of the lily whiteness of the state/program. And why would the most recent black athlete who is a 4* from Florida want to come to Nebraska?

Maybe your feeble brain can wrap itself around such questions, but I doubt it.

I said great black athletes.
All in your feels and dont know what you are changing your tampon for...lol

Is he the Florida player of the year like we used to get.

He probably won't be here past his sophomore year like the 4 stars we got 2 years ago.

Your list of players are college/pro HOF type of players that BETTER coaches than Frost recruited. This might never happen again, but if by some fat chance Nebraska gets a coach that can recruit those mega talented players AND turn them into such, then it will be a bright day in Lincoln again.

You should know all about tampons, you plug your orifices with them daily.

I think Campbell would consider the Nebraska job, especially if he has a .500 or worse season this year. ISU is picked to finish in the bottom half of the conference this year. If he keeps losing to Iowa and doesn't win a conference championship soon, the ISU fans will start to get restless like they did with McCarney.

So I think Campbell would be foolish not to consider a big offer from a Big 10 program, when the Big 12 is imploding and his hype is starting to dwindle.
I agree Campbell would be foolish not to consider a BiG coaching job, and as I had said with the Big 12 being a shell of itself Campbell could probably be hired away, but I am sure he has a somewhat high contract buyout since he just extended it in 2021. Being an Ohio native, I am sure he would jump if tOSU fired Ryan Day and offered him the job. ;) Of course, how many college coaches would not jump if tOSU called offering a head coach job. :) But I know he has been getting interest from the NFL and I think he lands there, unless ISU falls apart, then his coaching doors start closing to an extent. LOL

Reading through some of these candidates is interesting.

Campbell, Aranda, and Fickell would be home run hires for Nebraska. That said they each just signed massive extensions with their schools and don’t have much of an incentive to take the Nebraska job.

If Frost gets fired Nebraska is likely going to hire either an up and coming assistant from a big program or a mid-major head coach.

Campbell is getting interest from the NFL. He doesn’t need the Big Ten.

You guys are going to laugh at me, but a name id consider for Nebraska is Joe Judge. He was going to coach Miss St before the Giants offered him the HC job. Guy was a terrible fit as an NFL HC, but I think he’d do well in college.

Bill OBrien is another guy to watch out for, but I don’t think his personality would be right for Lincoln.

Pelini's problem was not the fans, it was Eichorst and the Media
It's too bad Pelini was so weak minded he couldn't handle the brutal Nebraska press. He should have figured out how to keep teams from embarrassing us on national TV.

He's another psychopath like Bo Pelini. He doesn't have the right temperament to be a head man.

Totally agree headcard. If Ruhle were the man and stayed 15-20 years, NU would be relevant.
I would take 5 years of Rhule if it meant getting back into the top echelon of the conference. He will need to rehabilitate his career before making another run at the NFL which is what I think he ultimately would do.

He is a fixer and Nebraska does need fixing.

Ruhle is the only coach I've seen who went from turning around a G5 school (Temple) and go right into a P5 school (Baylor) and turn them around too.

Frost can't do it, Mike Norvell can't do it, Luke Fickell hasn't done it YET, Fuentes couldn't do it. Only Ruhle.
It's Rhule, not Ruhle.

Campbell has a young family and that's part of the reason he's stayed at Iowa State so long. Having your name show up on NFL coaching lists is good for your current job security. He might go to the NFL, but he's smart enough to know the NFL chews you up and spits you out quickly.

But he could do a long stint at Nebraska and make a truckload of cash. I think it is time for him to make a move so his brand doesn't get stale. 7 to 8 games at Iowa State for a long period loses its luster

I always best these so called Nebraska fans who come around awhile and then when they get kicked to the curb, they slide back into the gutter they crawled out of.
It cracks me up that these trolls claim they've been around for 10 years, but this is the first we've heard of them.

I've heard that one before, when Scott was hired it was declared by Husker Nation as the home run heard around the world.

It was declared that by everyone, national media, local media, not just Husker Nation. turned out he wasn’t the guy or wasn’t ready. Doesn’t mean this isn’t a job a lot of guys could win at. No Pelini had results that would give you Hawkeye fans a 24/7 erred thin and he was nothing special.

You have no facts, just stupid comments, it's how you roll. By the way, if black athletes don't want to come to a "lily white" state as you put it, why are there 7 black athletes committed to Nebraska's football team for 2023?
Not that it's even a factor, but the UN Roster has 148 total players.

Black athletes total 54. A handful of Hispanic and Polynesian athletes.

Black/white issue of players hasn't been an issue with NU since Devaney was here.

I distinctly remember a NU-UCLA game when Steve Taylor was the QB. NU called a timeout, Taylor went to the sidelines to talk with Osborne. Someone handed Taylor a cup of water, he took a drink, and handed the cup to Osborne who took a drink out of the same cup. Right then I knew Tom was a man to be respected.

Even when Solich was here, I remember watching the Iowa State game and all 11 NU defenders on the field, at one time, were all Caucasian. It appeared to be a FCA/not FCA thing.

Maybe they were just the best players at those positions?

He seems to love it still knowing what's all shaking out...

Sounds like he'd only leave for USC or other west coast team.
Chip Kelly at UCLA should be gone long before Riley at USC. The "big" jobs are mostly filled. Smart at Georgia, Saban another 6-7 years at Bama, Riley at USC, Day at OSU, Harbaugh at MICH, Kelly at LSU, Dabo at Clemson.

The likely "big" school openings could be if Sark flames at TX, Norvell gets axed at FSU, Franklin at PSU, Freeman at ND, other than that, the guys I listed are all likely to stay for many years unless some bolt for the NFL.

He's gonna want a HC shot. And MUCH easier to acquire than Aranda...
You may be right Bleed, but Aranda only makes 2.5 Million a year, so 5 Mil a year for Aranda would be doable.

Plus, Aranda is somewhat proven as a head coach.
Remains to be seen if he could rebuild a broken program like NU.

No doubt, Ruhle has shown that ability, but he seems to get the urge to leave after 3-4 years.

Yeah but sounds like he's pretty devout, and not all about the money. Read somewhere he turned down like 10 mil a year to stay in Waco where he believes the devout culture is near perfect. But he's a Cali guy at heart, so west coast job makes sense.

Just passing asking what I've read into it. Is freaking love to have him here! But I think it'd be very possible and would be successful to get the man behind his offensive success - Jeff Grimes who has had success everywhere he's been oc.

Real trench man who calls his offense the "reliably violent offense". That is exactly what Nebraska needs along with a solid d. Being a trench warfare guy, I'm confident he understands how important a great DC is too.

There are probably 3-4 guys who would/could be a perfect match for NU. Any of them would be a huge improvement of where NU is now.

Hell I wish Mickey Joesph was the interim coach at this moment..
Seems if Whip isn't interested, Mickey next logical.

I just hope when this shakes out, they keep Mickey and Vince, cause they are going to bring in a **** load of talent as long as they are here.

If NU were to let Mickey go, it might a cold day in hell before NU got another kid out of Louisiana given Mickey's recognition and connections in that state.
