Lol haarberg had a 10 second wind up for a throw, what do you guys honestly see in him??
Very strong arm. Big kid and athletic. Still a project. Whipple at least has something physically to work with. He might never take a meaningful snap. Synek might pass him on the depth chart. That kid looks good against the lower unit D.

I don’t think the defense is supposed to have 35 points. That’s a concern.
That's all about the "touching" down RBs and the way they scored the "game" today. The O was severely handicapped in the first half with the rules.

Its a no win regarding tackling.

no tacking and people will ***** all day

tackling and a key players blows a knee, people will ***** all year
A 3-9 program with very few proven starters at any position and we're worried about getting key players hurt?

Guys that had their names called quite a bit:

Rollins, EMC, Nelson, Hausmann

Grimes looked decent. Neville shook Tommi Hill out of his shoes on one release I saw. Tyreke had a nice pass break up - he was lined up at CB on that one.

What game are you watching? Smothers has looked a lot worse than Purdy.
I would say today they tabbed smothers as #2. Tomorrow I would think it should be Purdy #2. Come fall as shoulder keeps getting stronger I could envision good competition. Thompson didn't impress that much, but much better accuracy than in the past. And he probably would have scored td if not for touch rule

Today was only Purdy's third practice after his foot injury.

The Spring game always tells you very little about the fall team. The one thing I did learn today from the interviews is that Thompson thinks very highly of himself. Not what you'd want to have in a brother-in-law but what you do want in a QB. Ha.

Just got home from game. Great day for a ball game.

I haven’t heard anything on Stepp’s injury. I felt really bad for the young man. Sad moment late in the game as we watched him apparently being consoled by his mother and I’m assuming his grandmother.
