If Nebraska has a dramatic turnaround this season....

If Nebraska goes 9-3 or better this season, does Scott Frost retain his job? If not, then does Whipple or one of the other assistants get promoted to be the next head coach? Safe bet would be to retain Frost, but anything can happen.

I predict that we’ll make a run at Brian Ferentz even if we go undefeated this year.

If NU goes 9-3 and Frost isn't found severely coked up with some co-eds, he will be retained. If NU goes 12-0, Trev will line out some fat rails for Scott himself.

I would guess it depends on how they handle press conferences and saying they had great practices. Thats important to you right?

If Nebraska goes 9-3 this year will we have fewer stupid troll posts? No? Yeah I didn't think so either.

We do have a history of firing 9 win coaches but at this point 9 wins would be like making the playoff haha

I haven't seen any indication Alberts is willing to fire anybody, so I think Frost stays no matter what. I do think we go 9-3 or better this season.

I think it's bowl game or bust the Head Coach Scott Frost this year. Anything 6 wins or better and he keeps his job. Less than 6, might be a tossup.

The next time Scotty goes 7-5 or worse, he is gone. He can be replaced with just about anyone. A dedicated hard worker would be a fresh start.

Anything short of three straight undefeated national championships will be considered a failure. Nebraska could beat most NFL teams right now.

6-6 should be the bare minimum for Frost to get a sixth year (and 6-6 in year 6 shouldn't be good enough to get a year 7).

I disagree. I figured going into this that it was going to be an 8 year rebuild. With Covid whatnot now I'm thinking more like 10. In my opinion I haven't seen half of what I need to see to make an informed opinion. This season doesn't mean much imo, neither does next season imo. Year 8 and especially years 9 and 10 will be the key.

So I will bite on this. You are either being sarcastic or serious but if serious, why 10 years? Where did that magic number come from?

I think 7 is Frost's magic number. Just getting to .500 shouldn't get an extension.

See what the minimum Frost has to do to keep his job, or if Frost even gets credit if things do turn around or if all the credit will go to his assistants.
Face it. Frost is most likely gone. And with him goes all those assistants. We'll see if Frost can scrape together enough wins. He's sucked so far.

He won't get a 6th year unless he wins this year. Enough with the covid excuses. Everyone had to deal with covid. Everyone.

So then what was the whole point of even giving him another year with new assistants if he is fired regardless of what his record is?

Hello Urban!!!
This program doesn't need an Urban Meyer to be near the top in the Big Ten and a perennial Top 25 team.

Day, Harbaugh, Fleck, Ferentz, Franklin, Chryst are all coaches in the conference that could make the program good again, not great, but good.

SF has shown to be one of the bottom 3-4 coaches in the entire league. I'm a NU fan, I wouldn't miss Frost, and he would be even more insufferable if NU ever won anything with him as the head man.

Anyone for a mythical 6th National Title?

Dude. He's already had 4 years to show us what he's got. The 5th is a gift. You should want better than .375. Are you really a Nebraska fan? That record will get you fired from ANY P5 school.

If they go 9-3 or better, then his overall record would be better than .375, which would at least warrant another year IMO.

I would like a coach who would practice in the afternoon so we can get more work in after practice!

Seven wins minimum if very competitive in the other five-six games. If ends up 7-6 and has a bad loss or two he is history!
