NARRATOR:Kinda hard to do when he had absolute trash lines failing to protect his backside especially this last one which is the worst OL in DONU History. People can make all of the excuses they want but if you don't have a line that can block and protect you, any QB is gonna look and play like total *** and that is fact.
2 things can be true - #1 they were a bad o line, #2 Adrian’s weaknesses (reading a defense, going through progressions, pocket awareness) made them look even worse than they really wereKinda hard to do when he had absolute trash lines failing to protect his backside especially this last one which is the worst OL in DONU History. It is bud. Your of the I don't need no stinkin line in front of me, I'll go out there by myself and tear it up with no line on the field and and get named All-American. You're not to bright!NARRATOR:

Hard to read anything when your running for your life due to no protection which was the case most of the time. Most of the times he ran was because the OL broke down and he had no protection.2 things can be true - #1 they were a bad o line, #2 Adrian’s weaknesses (reading a defense, going through progressions, pocket awareness) made them look even worse than they really were

Your posts are absolute **** period! You think you know what your talking about, NOT!anyone else see the irony in questioning another's intelligence with the grammar of an 8-year old?
you think having the person who was responsible for giving the ball to the other team more than one time per game was not our biggest problem?3rd can also be true.
QB was far from our biggest problem.

Admit it. He was terrible. Spin it all you want. I don't blame him though. This was Frost.Kinda hard to do when he had absolute trash lines failing to protect his backside especially this last one which is the worst OL in DONU History. I vote QB play was our biggest problem whether it was due to Martinez, Verduzco, Frost or a combination thereof. I also argue that even if QB weren't our biggest problem (like maybe Frost mismanaging every aspect of the program being the biggest problem), QB play wasn't "far" from that problem. It was still a huge problem.3rd can also be true.

Read BrightRed24s post right above yours because it is dead on and you are beyond clueless. It is bud. Your of the I don't need no stinkin line in front of me, I'll go out there by myself and tear it up with no line on the field and and get named All-American. You're not to bright!
Yea.....a high school kid posted on his hudl that he ran a 4.5 and you believe it?At the Nike camp prior to his signing with us, Martinez clocked a blazing 4.79 40. Thompson reported a 4.55 on his HUDL page. So yeah, I think Thompson is faster. Martinez was not a fast QB period.
And the most pedestrian rbs in 40 years at Neb.As I said in another post on here, any QB would look like beyond garbage playing behind the worst in school history trash lines we've had to suffer through the past few years.

Kind of like you believe Damon Benning and the rest of the media? I would rather believe a high school kid than the trash the media spews.Yea.....a high school kid posted on his hudl that he ran a 4.5 and you believe it?
Not wrong here. And if you're going to feature your qb in the running game it's gonna be hard to land a top rb. They want the ballAnd the most pedestrian rbs in 40 years at Neb.
We’ve had 4 star guys (at least per the rankings) …so…Not wrong here. And if you're going to feature your qb in the running game it's gonna be hard to land a top rb. They want the ball
"but that doesn't mean you made the right decision in my opinion."You can vote all you want, but that doesn't mean you made the right decision.
Are you talking about early season Martinez? Or mid-to-late season Martinez that was a broken shell of himself annually? I DGAF about comparing their running skills. That’s fool’s gold.Passing only, Thompson is nowhere near the runner Martinez is and that's fact.
Yes…40 yard dash times are not completely indicative of a players ability to run. I bet Mickey Joseph ran a faster 40 than Tommie. Who was the better running Qb?He can run, but not as good as Adrian and that's fact. Adrian lead all QBs in the conference in rushing yardage. Casey put in the same situation as Adrian has been put in wouldn't even come close to Adrian's rushing numbers and this is also a fact. Casey is the overall better QB because of his arm and he can run but if it came down to just rushing which now it won't Adrian wins that catagory hands down.
Who would you consider as a top tier rb in the Frost eraWe’ve had 4 star guys (at least per the rankings) …so…
I sincerely hope CT is the second coming of Turner Gill but I have my doubts. Are you talking about early season Martinez? Or mid-to-late season Martinez that was a broken shell of himself annually? I DGAF about comparing their running skills. That’s fool’s gold.
Well Stepp, Morrison…maybe even Mills (can’t remember) were 4 stars. So your spin that Neb can’t attract highly regarded guys rings a bit hollow. Unless you are admitting that Neb’s talent evaluation needs a little work?Who would you consider as a top tier rb in the Frost era
They're decent yes but I wouldn't put them as elite or a program builder. Bellcow rbs want the ball and definitely want more carries than the qbI sincerely hope CT is the second coming of Turner Gill but I have my doubts.

They turned out not to be bell cows but they were highly regarded when we recruited them. Don’t disagree that they didn’t meet hype/expectations.They're decent yes but I wouldn't put them as elite or a program builder. Bellcow rbs want the ball and definitely want more carries than the qb
Unfortunately so have many on O. Hopefully we get better development with the changesThey turned out not to be bell cows but they were highly regarded when we recruited them. Don’t disagree that they didn’t meet hype/expectations.
Looked pretty good and accurate in clips I've seen. Best on target I've seen at NU in years....we'll see next fall because I've learned that the spring game isn't what it used to be eitherI wonder if his hand is completely healed. According to Texas fans he was much better before his hand injury. If that injury is in the past then we got a good one.
IT'S THE LINE! AMART WOULD'VE WON A HEISMAN WITH A LINE. I KNOW IT IN MY HEART OF HEARTS! YOU MEANIE!!!you think having the person who was responsible for giving the ball to the other team more than one time per game was not our biggest problem?
let me guess.. kicking game? LaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingRollingLaugh
You know what is funny about this, is CT commented that our line play helped influence his decision to come here. The line he played with at UT was absolute garbage.Kinda hard to do when he had absolute trash lines failing to protect his backside especially this last one which is the worst OL in DONU History. People can make all of the excuses they want but if you don't have a line that can block and protect you, any QB is gonna look and play like total *** and that is fact.
UT, not OUThis team was basically 7-10 points per game from being a 1 loss team.
Nebraska's redzone scoring average with Martinez at QB was about 75.3%.
OU with Thompson was #1 in the country at 96.23%
We don't have to get to 96% Just getting to 80% wins nearly every game last year. 80% is incredibly doable for this team and it's an easier schedule.
The biggest concern is the D-Line. Unfortunately Tuioti for all the talk was a terrible recruiter and the line Is incredibly thin and very green. Luckily they moved Dawson there and he is a pretty good recruiter and they should be pretty good going forward (Though it's still a stupid arrangement) but this year is going to be hairy if injuries pile up.
Did you expect CT to come and criticize the O line. Of course he's going to say they were goodYou know what is funny about this, is CT commented that our line play helped influence his decision to come here. The line he played with at UT was absolute garbage.
Our needs a lot of improvement, but it was hardly the issue why we lost so many games.
CT is a much faster decision maker, from what I can tell of his prior film.
Is he a better decision maker? we don't know yet, but just processing things faster is going to be a huge help.
From his standpoint, he's going to get more time to throw on average, and that might also help his performance too.
We won't really know how this goes until we start playing games, but the QB standing back there all day trying to figure out what to do, probably won't be an issue in this offense next year.
Why? Is there a requirement to mention the line as a reason for making a decision? If he just says, I was excited to learn from Coach Frost and Coach Whipple and Coach Joseph and my dad have been friends for over 30 years and I felt comfortable with what was going on in Lincoln, that wouldn't have been enough? There was no reason to even mention the OLine, good or bad, as a reason for choosing Nebraska.Did you expect CT to come and criticize the O line. Of course he's going to say they were good
Really? Dude can’t check down for **** but come on our line couldn’t protect their mother!anyone else see the irony in questioning another's intelligence with the grammar of an 8-year old?
there are dozens of quarterbacks who would've run circles around AM last year with everything being equal.
see what Tuco wrote..Did you expect CT to come and criticize the O line. Of course he's going to say they were good
