In each category, I tried to list from most offensive to least offensive, but still responsible enough to be part of the problem. I listed Harvey #1 worst perpetrator in the admin category, and he deserves it by country mile. I listed TO #2 for originating the whole problem with Byrne, and he gets some tarnish for Pederson eventually becoming AD. And he didn’t redeem himself when he was the AD.

When Byrne left and the homegrown Steve Pederson who had cut his teeth at NU, Ohio State, Tennessee and Pitt was brought in, my reaction was this is how good programs operate. Man, I couldn't have been more wrong - its largely been an administration debacle since that hire in 2002.

I met Steve pedyshine in the summer of 1982. He was a GA. Found out real quick what he was about. Thought the hire stunk but hoped it would work

We all love Zac but hes wrong to think Callahan should have returned. Osborne et al were not wrong to fire him and yes they have been wrong about a lot of other things. Bring ing Zac back for the spring game would be great

Callahan showed nebraska could recruit among the best. Otherwise he was terrible and deserved to be fired. 27-22 with 5-7 in year 4 is a fireable record at ablueblood program. People forget in 2007 we were considered that. The national media made a big story of our losing. Now nobody cares about nebraska other than us. Hopefully we get it turned around one of these days, but Callahan wasnt the guy to do it despite being a good recruiter

All of you excited over Zac Taylor need to make sure to thank Bill Callahan for giving anyone a reason to talk about Nebraska football in 2022
