Even though he wasn’t good enough for NU.
Would help if the main recruiter thought he was good enough. But …. He said no.He was good enough. He just didn't want to go to Nebraska. And honestly, can you blame him??
Can't figure out why! The losing seasons and turmoil. The opportunity to play with teammates like a Teddy Allen or Alonzo Verge. A head coach who must have spent several minutes of his time recruiting you. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?He was good enough. He just didn't want to go to Nebraska. And honestly, can you blame him??
His "main" recruiter did think he was good enough but when a kid consistently tells you he's not interested at some point you quit waisting your time. We heard constantly from people around him during the recruiting process that he wanted to get out of the state and that there was no way he was going to Nebraska. Who am I to believe, a random anonymous message board poster or people close to the kid? Clearly NU has to land kids like him if they want to win games. Our starting point guard is a turnover and bad shot waiting to happen. Nebraska had things going early in the game and then they run off a series of turnovers and bad shots. Same deal late in the 2nd half. Clawed their way down to single digits then threw the ball away and put up bad shots. Brad Davison draining 3s was more of a factor than Chucky but I'll give you that he would look good in a Husker uni.Would help if the main recruiter thought he was good enough. But …. He said no.
Verge's teammates have to be frustrated as hell. You can just see the defeat take over in the 2nd half when we had guys trying to force their way to the rim. Lat driving through 3 defenders and then throwing up a prayer scoop shot that didn't draw iron was yer sign. Verge had way too many shots like that too. We had a 3 on 2 break and all 3 guys including Wilcher went all the way to the rim and the ball got lost on a weak attempt at an interior pass. What SHOULD have happened was Wilcher should have swung out to receive a pass for a wide open 3. Instead they all wound up like a bunch of 6 year old soccer players in a scrum. Can't figure out why! No! Verge is the best player in the conference! Stats prove it! Hoiberg only sat him last night because he’s his favorite player and he wanted to reward his great play with a well deserved rest!Verge's teammates have to be frustrated as hell. You keep saying that but I keep seeing a guy who gets abused on defense and continues to make stupid turnovers and take bad shots. Sorry. He might have a lot of skill but we have to have a more consistent point guard than him. He's been better at kicking the ball out but he still dribbles in to WAY too much traffic and causes turnovers. No! Verge is the best player in the conference! Stats prove it! Tragically accurateHe was good enough. He just didn't want to go to Nebraska. And honestly, can you blame him??
No, sorry for not putting in the winking emoji. I hate him. He’s a team killer.Y

Love it when guys like you have no info and just insult. Not my first rodeo around here bro.what a dumbass post. nebraska recruited and wanted him. guys like op literally wake up every morning thinking they have a great post for the message board and it's just not it. get in your minivan and take the kids to school. stay off the internet.
Those guys must not think they can help turn things around. Preferred to go where team is already good. That’s what AAU players do, go to best team that will take them.Murrell
Chucky
Troudt
Tonje
Salis
Green
etc
etc
etc
Instead we pickup Teddy Allen, Arop, and Hoiberg, Jr from NE....

Are you serious Clark? You all should go back and listen to yesterday’s 1620 morning show. They had a guy on talking about this exact topic. He directly asked this kid and Sallis if they would be at Nebraska if miles wasn’t fired and both kids and their parents said yes.
sadly, I believe itYou all should go back and listen to yesterday’s 1620 morning show. They had a guy on talking about this exact topic. He directly asked this kid and Sallis if they would be at Nebraska if miles wasn’t fired and both kids and their parents said yes.

If Hunter Sallis was ever the least bit interested in playing for Miles, it was the best-kept secret in college basketball. But because of what some unnamed guy said on sports talk radio, I’m to believe that Sallis had his heart set on being Husker - but then Miles got fired, so he had to settle for the #2 team in the country?Have a listen
I’m just telling you what was said. I don’t know who the guy was but he seemed to be someone “in the know “If Hunter Sallis was ever the least bit interested in playing for Miles, it was the best-kept secret in college basketball. I don’t doubt that someone said it, I just think it’s ********. All the talk when Hoiberg was hired was that maybe he could convince Hunter Sallis to finally give NU the time of day - which obviously did not happen.I’m just telling you what was said. I don’t know who the guy was but he seemed to be someone “in the know “
I guess the guy that talked to them directly is wrongGive me a break Sallis wasn’t interested playing for Miles and Nebraska…
He had a rough game and was terribly outmatched But He’s just a freshman so he should get better over time. He should be a good one with the size Wisconsin will Have every year but their offense won’t let him do a lot in his career thereDid Chucky go off today?
He seems like one of those guys that doesn’t have much room for improvement. He’s not one of those hyper athletic kids who’s just waiting for it to click. That’d be Sallis. He had a rough game and was terribly outmatched But He’s just a freshman so he should get better over time. I didn’t read any excuses the first time Wisconsin won this year against Nebraska except why we didn’t go after chucky fast forward to yesterday and chucky is a no show and now we get excuses for him, sorry can’t have it both waysHe had a rough game and was terribly outmatched But He’s just a freshman so he should get better over time. I didn't watch much of their game yesterday, but I saw the play where Clark elbowed a defender in the face, right in front of the official. The ref actually had the audacity to call it, and she stood there in utter disbelief that he would do such a thing.Traveling in College is getting as bad as the NBA. Davison took 4 steps on one possession and there is a video of Iowa's Clark taking 5. Just alternating pivot feet.
