I didn't watch much of their game yesterday, but I saw the play where Clark elbowed a defender in the face, right in front of the official. The ref actually had the audacity to call it, and she stood there in utter disbelief that he would do such a thing.

Next season that ref will probably be working JUCO tournaments.
not in the big 10, he’ll probably get a pay raise for making sure that Nebraska doesn’t get any breaks

Can't figure out why! The losing seasons and turmoil. The opportunity to play with teammates like a Teddy Allen or Alonzo Verge. A head coach who must have spent several minutes of his time recruiting you. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?
Jesus what a tired and horrible take I’ve heard from a few on this board. Teddy Allen was a toxic d-bag who didn’t pass and left the team early. Wasn’t half as efficient as Verge. You can in no way shape or form compare Teddy Allen with Alonzo Verge. It’s just not possible. Verge is a man.

I realize this is from over a month ago but I was saying you guys dumping on Verge were dead wrong then, and that is solidified now. He is a dude and always was.

I'm impressed by how Verge has stepped up his game over the past few weeks. He still loses his mind at times an does dumb stuff but he's played much better. I've gone from hoping he leaves to wishing he would come back for that extra COVID year next year.

Went off? He had 13 points. He's a nice player.
Wish we had him. He's not good enough to turn pro early and will do nothing but get better over the 8 years he's at Wisconsin. We need to find incoming freshmen we can develop like that.

He has the best handles I’ve ever seen at this program and his game looks impossible to contain when he’s really feeling it. He is so entertaining to watch. People were looking for someone to blame when things weren’t going well, and took the easy road and blamed the guy with the ball the most even though you could see he was still doing good things. Teammates would just fumble his passes, miss shots, miss rebounds, suck on defense. It was easy to see he was not the problem. I know Derrick Walker would love to have him back.

He was turning the ball over at an alarming rate and taking horrible shots. It wasn't just a matter of looking for someone to blame. Yes he's got a great handle and he's a tough guard but he's also a liability on defense at times. There was plenty of blame to go around including guys who couldn't hit free throws but Verge did in FACT have the ball in his hands way too much. He would dribble the air out of it and guys were standing around watching him because he was a black hole. He finally started listening to Fred and playing more under control when Fred started yanking him from games when he committed stupid turnovers. HUGE improvement in a matter of weeks.

I will agree slightly. We don’t know how much of this changed with the offense changing though either. Guys are working more off the ball now with off ball screens. Maybe a “chicken or the egg” type argument. Glad we’re looking like the team we knew we had now. I still think the main issue was coaching.

Just 8? C’mon. Davison had 10.
