Sounds like we're pursuing Kedon. I personally like him much more than the guy from Florida or some of these other names people seem to want. Oh the suspense is killing us!

I would have rather kept Martinez than bring in Slovis. Slovis plays against terrible Pac-12 defenses every week, and is still a turnover machine. He would be Sam Keller 2.0.

It is a different brand of football, no doubt, but that doesn't mean the defenses are terrible. There is more of an emphasis on offense in the Pac 12. Outside of Ohio St, Purdue, Maryland and maybe Penn St and Nebraska the other schools all want to play keep away and reduce the number of possessions. You are naturally going to have lower scoring games. Only 3 Big Ten teams averaged 28 points per game or more in 2021, the Pac 12 had 7.

Statistically, Nebraska had probably the 3 or 4th best offense in the league. (4th in scoring and 3rd in total offense) yet Nebraska fired their entire offensive staff because it wasn't good enough. Of course the league is going to look better defensively than other leagues.

Coached some by Kurt Warner in HS. Hopefully Kurt doesn’t do hatchet job in us

Slovis would be a good pick up. Mobile in the pocket and throws a good ball.
Agreed. I believe his picks were more reflective of the coaching or lack thereof and volatility of the USC program more than anything. His freshman year was sensational. More than AMs even.

Yep. 3500+ yards, 30 td, 9 ints

Heard Huskers, Arizona, Cal top the list.

Not concerned about his rushing stats, as USC didn’t run the QB. He seems like an athletic kid.
USCs own scouting report on him He's also not going to be someone that runs away from defenders and won't get you many yards on plays that he needs to scramble.

Just saying, everyone wants to keep this running qb/option style of play.. He's not going to bring that.. I truly don't care if we abandon that. JUST WIN!!

I don’t really care about the style of offense either and the QB run game would probably be a thing of that past with this kid. I also think a QB with some mobility would be nice behind this OL. However, Solvis is a very talented kid and a super accurate, so I wouldn’t be opposed to adding him. He will make us better if we can protect him.

He was tearing Iowa up in the Holiday Bowl in 2019 before he got hurt. Honestly haven’t watched him play since but he looked exceptional that night.

The internet seems to think he will go to Pitt, where his girlfriend plays soccer, and we all know the internet is rarely wrong.

The best qb prospect out there is Cameron Ward period. Get him here now. Not that it will really matter come October, but what the hell anyway?

Pitt is after Chubba Purdy pretty hard, too (as are we). With any luck Purdy will end up at Pitt and we pull Slovis.

Our women's soccer players need to start dating good QBs at other schools, so they transfer here.

I've heard so much about Whipple on here lately, like he's a miracle worker. Can turn any quarterback into a Heisman winner. They even call him Whip, as if he's a longtime friend....I always thought he was just some guy who wouldn't squeeze the Charmin.
