Shocking it took this long. College style coaching doesn't translate to NFL. Wonder if he will slink back to college now.

His rep took a major hit but I still see Texas calling after next season. I think Sarkisian will be gone by midseason 2022.

You know, I don't root for the demise of very many individuals, but seems to be a turdling of epic proportions....karma works out....

wonder what his life threat was this time?(I'm sorry...cold of me)

Pete Carroll went from NFL to college and back to NFL. More typically, a very successful college coach wants to challenge the NFL, and fails badly. Urban did a nice job getting fired quickly. Even if you are really bad, you normally get a full season and often two.

Even Saban sucked coaching in the NFL because there, everyone was paying players.
Pretty much. Guys like Saban, Spurrier, Meyer all have huge egos and think they can win anywhere. They figure why not? I'll try and if I fail I'll get a huge buyout and go right back to a big time job in college. Usually what happens except for a select few. I won't mention Barry Switzer as a success because Jimmy built such a great team Joe Schmo could have won a Super Bowl with that Dallas team.

I feel like if Urban wasn’t such an asshat, Jags would have given him at least one more year.
But losing, molesting girls in bars, calling your assistants losers, kicking your kicker, and various other dick moves I think the Jags had no choice. I mean in what profession can you kick an employee and call them losers and still be employed? Geeze

Dough Marrone had some really bad seasons and he was retained for some time. So it really wasn’t just the losing.

Also Urban made the mistake of hiring Brian Schottenheimer. Feel like that guys a guarantee your team will suck. He’s the poster child of nepotism in the NFL.

I give Meyer a ton of credit for what he did at BGSU and Utah...once he was at UF and OSU he probably had the more talented team at least 90% of the time and at OSU probably 95% of the time. At that point all you are doing is making sure the game is over at halftime so that you don't get upset by some lame *** Big Ten West team.

Think of the Husker run, they were probably favored by double digits in 50 of those 60 wins, if not more. At that point it was just a matter of showing up.

NFL really isn't like that...shoot about 6 weeks ago there were talks about "who can stop the Bills" Ummm pretty much everyone. The NFL teams are pretty much all the same.

I had never seen that before...you can't script the honesty of those three guys in that response!:)
