No more full days in LNK at $65 a ticket when donors are able to give tickets away at a heavy discount to support the fake sellout streak. Would rather be given the option to purchase 2-4 tickets for donation to the RCE. Then, I write that off on taxes and watch the game on TV. Thoughts?

If the big donors and the University leaders don't care about winning, why should we?

I've been assured that there are 10s of thousands of fans willing to buy up all those unsold tickets. Yet they were being given to charity, and then doing BOGO deals. I'm so confused 🤔

We all care about winning. We can care as much as the Care Bears when they touch bellies and shoot rainbow laser beams and ****, but if we are not winning, it doesn't matter who cares or how much. The FB program supports the Athletic Dept, which in turn supports the University. That is only the case at NU and a few other schools. Most places, it's vice-versa. They need their money first and foremost, because too much rides on it. Sad part is, we as a fan base, including me, have proven to NU Football that they will get their money regardless. We are 3-9, and NU football is still one of the greatest economic drivers in the state. I feel like a fool paying face for a ticket that anyone else can get for $20 in the mid 1st quarter. I, We allow ourselves to get suckered into this year after year. Some are worried they'll lose their family tix who's orginal owner died in 1990. Then they will also have to pay the exorbitant donation on top of their ticket. Others waited 10+ years on the wait list and dammit if they'd wait all those years to finally get tix just to give them up. But we create, as a fan base, a scenario where winning or losing is whatever because enough money comes in either way.

This was my first year ever as a season ticket holder. The donation requirements are a big yikes. Tough for young families. Especially to watch this shite.

Next year will be the least anticipated year of Husker Football I can ever remember. Not worth the money anymore...3-9

Ding-ding-ding!

The only way this stops is if people stop going. I broke my 2021 Husker Football ethos because I was gifted two club-level, 50-yard line seats for the Ohio State game. Otherwise, no way would I pay decent $ to watch or support the sh*tshow of this season.

And not too far in the future, potential season-ticket buyers are going to be the kids having grown up in the sh*tshow that has been, basically, the past 20 years. They will likely opt to use and spend their money elsewhere. Like on flying cars, hoverboards, or whatever other future **** that I'm still waiting on now in my 40s. I was promised that stuff back in the 1980s, man.

They are counting bills now, they dont care about winning til the cash flow slows down.
Correct but in modern P5 football the cash flow doesn’t come from stadium attendance as much as from television dollars. And as long as you remain in the B1G about 50 Million a year a few thousand empty seats in the stadium doesn’t mean crud to your university AD.
This is why your athletic director is never going to take you back to the Big 12 or even the ACC. The only conference even close is the SEC and that is still a few million drop off. The only way you loose money is if the other 13 teams in the B1G stop watching games on TV
Also OSU, M and Penn State and Rutgers/Maryland are paying the bills for the rest of the conference. The last thing the small market teams want are the big market teams to take their TV dollars and go elsewhere. If you think your at a competitive disadvantage now you will see what it is like to be the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds of college football.

Tickets were incredibly hard to sell this year if you couldn’t or didn’t want to go the game.

I am an outsider so fans will discount what I say. I probably should not say it but here goes. As a fan of my university I try to support whatever coaches they hire until pass the time it makes sense to do so. Why the knife finally comes it is such a relief. This has happen a lot at my university over the years. But when the knife is used what comes with relief is hope. Without hope the world is a hard place . In this instance the world is your football world but it bleeds into your world where you live where the important thing are. There is no program in the SEC where your coach would be retained. Who would give a crap about saving $7.5 million ! The fans are outstanding at Nebraska and you have given your support to the university and Frost. It is time to wish Frost well and to begin working your way out of this situation. It will be a relief for him and for the fans that can not bear to turn their backs on your head coach. Give Frost back the $7.5 million he gave up to be back next year. He will understand it is best for everybody.

Yes, I developed a leg problem and didn't even try to sell as I gave them away! Usually to the 3rd or 4th person I offered to! Under one condition, don't try to give them back to me, haha, pass them on to someone who has not been to a Huskers game!!! Everyone I asked has other plans on Sat now!
