That their all time best stretch of a period has occurred simultaneously during our worst. So legit!
With how the fans feel about frost, absolutely. If frost gets Nebraska to regular winning 8-9 games he'll be a lifer. Especially if they losses are respectableI would venture to say that if we become current state Iowa - frost will be here indefinitely -

Meh, iowa’s last 7 for sure, but no interest in iowa pre 2015.5 straight losing seasons. 6/7 years with losing seasons. Whatever, I'll take Iowa's last 20 years over ours any day of the week and twice on sundays
Iowa finished #8 in America in final poll 2002, 2003, 2004 and had an Orange Bowl win to top off the 2009 season-- these are encompassed in the last 20 year span of comparing the two programs.Meh, iowa’s last 7 for sure, but no interest in iowa pre 2015.
Super, still not interested. iowa hasn’t finished in the top 5 in 60 plus years, that’s right even during Iowa’s lone out right conference championship post 1960 in 1985 they didn’t finish in the top 5. All those other “shared” conference titles, no top 5 finishes. Nebraska didn’t maintain its elite status from 1962-2001, but was still playing for conference championships occasionally 2002-2014.Iowa finished #8 in America in final poll 2002, 2003, 2004 and had an Orange Bowl win to top off the 2009 season-- these are encompassed in the last 20 year span of comparing the two programs.
Why would you do that. They aren't good...5 straight losing seasons. 6/7 years with losing seasons. Whatever, I'll take Iowa's last 20 years over ours any day of the week and twice on sundays
Barf City!!Even if they win they still wake up the next day in iowa Sick

Nebraska owned the head to head through 2014. You’re getting carried away with the whole 20 year thing. Definitely would take the limited success of iowa 2015 to present over Nebraska current status of zero success.these past 5 seasons have really taken any argument out for who has had the better program the last 20 years. It's Iowa and it's not close. maybe the 2020's will be better but again, off to a rough start.
No you wouldn’t. The difference in fanbases is that at Nebraska, if we were having the “success” that Iowa is having, we would be wanting more. Iowa is content with their current level of success.5 straight losing seasons. 6/7 years with losing seasons. Whatever, I'll take Iowa's last 20 years over ours any day of the week and twice on sundays
I wouldnt take their last 20 years. 10 years for sure though. As another poster has stated to you:

You can hide your bitter disappointment in this program all you want and find reasons to make yourself feel better, but it doesn't change the facts above.
One year at a time. iowa currently owns the head to head with nothing else to show for it. Nothing about iowa tells me they’ll be winning 9-10 consistently over the next five years. The past is gone, who would put $ on NU being better than Iowa this weekend? Next year? Next 5? Next 10?
You're the epitome of what's wrong in the fan base here-- you are trapped into a time machine and wanting to re-invent the 70s and 80s. Until you get out, look at the reality of Nebraska football for the past 20 years, and realize much has changed in that time, you'll continue to be dillusional and disappointed all in one.Super, still not interested. iowa hasn’t finished in the top 5 in 60 plus years, that’s right even during Iowa’s lone out right conference championship post 1960 in 1985 they didn’t finish in the top 5. You mean the results of the last 20 years that pretty much drew even with Iowa’s “success”, right? You're the epitome of what's wrong in the fan base here-- you are trapped into a time machine and wanting to re-invent the 70s and 80s. Iowa is so good that from 1979 to 2012, in the eight games played against Nebraska, the Hawkeyes won one game (1981) vs. Huskers.
From 2013 to 2020, the Huskers one win came in an OT game in 2014, while the Hawkeyes flipped the script with 7 wins in the last 8 games in the new B1G series.
That's Football now with the new Heroes Trophy Game.
Since 1979, the series is tied 8-8, since Iowa's last win in 2020.
LOL, and had Nebraska played Minnesota in the 1940s youd have lost 10 of 10 or played ND when Rockne was coach lost every time. Your point is silly and isn't speculation a wonder. In modern history, Iowa has dominated Nebraska. Those are simply the facts.Lucky for Ioway they only played Nebraska 6 times between 1979-2010..
Ioway would have won a couple between 83- 89. Nebraska would have won the rest and in the 90’s Ioway might have won one or two in that decade.. 21-12 by now if they played every year since 1979..
Actually, Nebraska played Notre Dame when Rockne was coach two years in a row and beat them both times.LOL, and had Nebraska played Minnesota in the 1940s youd have lost 10 of 10 or played ND when Rockne was coach lost every time.
