5 rings since I’ve been alive, plus a few very damn close. if we ever played for ties, we’d for sure have 6.
i_wa has zero (the ‘crackerjack’ prize in the 50s doesn’t count. we’d be dripping with even more crystal if we counted our ‘crackerjack’ wins).

since TO left we’re 21st in wins i_wa is 30th.
neither are really crushing it in recent times.

Kinnick played his first 3 years of high school in Adel Iowa. His father moved family to Omaha because of the depression. He played for the Benson Bunnies his Senior year and starred at both high schools. Also when he played baseball in Iowa he was Bob Feller"s catcher on the VFW team. I think that is the way it went.

3 of Iowas best years 2002-2004 will drop off the next 3 years though and 2 of those years were not good for Nebraska so some evening out over 20 years depending on what they are replaced with.

Sorry but Nebraska hasn't EVER won a Big Ten Championship and that's what I consider a Championship Not a Big Eight Championship where you only played one team a year with a pulse Oklahoma and then after that went and played a team down south for the National Championship

As soon as an iowa dbag brings up their BS about the big8/12 I no longer engage. The Big10 was rarely, if ever a better conference on the field and was always a two team league.
