Hawkeye Game delayed by protesters

People protesting at sporting events is not a new thing. I don't think interrupting/stopping a football game is necessarily the right way to get attention to your cause and get people on your side. Football games take long enough, a prolonged demonstration would just annoy me.

Like saying the new Lt Gov and Atty Gen in VA are white supremacists? Give these protesters a chance to finish their degrees, Northwestern has an “elite” journalism program.
Journalism is dead these days. The real journalists are buried at the bottom and considered crackpot conspiracy theorists.

Why is this hard to understand?

Unless they had permission from the school, this was wrong. Just like a streaker running on the field or the kissing bandit running on the field.

It doesn't matter what the message was/is it just matters if it was wrong or right.

the most liberal person in the world should understand that and the most conservative person in the world should understand that.

Betting most understand, but because it is blm some say no big deal or don't want to touch it because they will be deamonized and labled for doing nothing more than doing their jobs by stopping them. Clearly, they are a racist white supremacist by telling them to get off the field.

Storming the field after a big win is also wrong. All are subject to arrest and a possible fine.

You mean after the game is over, as opposed to during the game? Even you should be able to see the glaring difference between the two situations.

Yup. And fans from other conference schools don't tend to get triggered by it and start angry threads.
That is not true. Fans are like "Oh my god, did you see they rushed the field for beating team _________, that is so lame, my school would never do that, act like you have been there"

I mean, even you know your stance is wrong, why fight it. Unless they had school permission what they did was wrong. Just say it.

Fans storming the field aren't some scam artist group of brownshirts trying to force their garbage ideas on to the general public.

I've already said it was wrong. It is also not a big deal. Like storming the field.

So protests are always wrong? A "Support The Troops" rally that takes over the streets (not covered by a permit) and inconveniences people is comprised of "brownshirts trying to force their garbage ideas onto the general public"?

Why do you hate America?

They get what you call a permit. Get a clue. Support the Troops is brownshirts? wow. You'd think a normal American would support the troops. What are you some FSB hack like that guy just indicted by the the Justice Department?

Not even close to a "same thing" comparison, those who trespassed on the field at NW should have been taken to the ground hard and handcuffed then led off the field to the applause of the fans.

Nope, you are, as usual, wrong.

It is not that people don't want to touch it or are giving the protestors a pass, it is that there is no reason for you, me, or any Nebraska fan for that matter to GAF. There are bigger issues, and there are many, many more important things. You are just using this to once again get on your pedestal and wag your finger.

Ha! Please speak out a little more when I am wrong, so that I can learn from your terrific insight. Take the above for example, you don't address why the NW security, or anybody, did anything about the protestors. Apparently they were on the field for several minutes, with not a single person doing anything about it. Your response is that I am wrong about why there was no response, but you don't have any explanation other than I'm a Husker fan and shouldn't GAF. That doesn't address the question, it's just you having a temper tantrum. It shows a lack of an ability to think through the issue and / or that you're too emotional about this to provide a meaningful response. There are bigger issues, and more important things, but this happened during a football game, so the protesters open themselves up to scrutiny. What I don't GAF about is what they were protesting; they shouldn't be on the field during the game, period. You have a hard time with any criticism because you are soft and can't come to grips with the idea that a person can say "get off the field" while at the same time not giving two sh!ts about the protestors' agenda. I'll say this one more time, for you and the other slow folk. Any and all protestors, no matter their agenda or cause, should never be allowed onto a football field during a game - they can spend all day and night right outside the doors of the stadium doing whatever they want to advance their cause.

Got it now?

So much crying... it is not even winter yet and there's are already a blizzard of snowflakes on this board.

Nebraska is 3-7 with a coach about to get fired, and you want to whine about something that happened at Northwestern.
Aren't you now the one crying about the "snowflakes" here?

I don't care. The only reason you do is so you can vent your manufactured outrage against anything left wing.

A perfect and predictable response; you don't care about the facts, it's all about emotion and your truth. And to be clear, I despise phony and stupid, it just so happens the left goes there often.

Be strong Lloyd.

Really? The left isn't the God of outrage culture? The idiots who interrupted a venue they had no business with are proof of that. You are less aware of reality than the POTUS.

Yeah, speaking of phony and stupid, it wasn't the left who were waiting for JFK and his son to show up in Dallas last week, nor are we following the lead of some pillow salesman and his "evidence".

You're just a different side of the same coin here. They completely fooled your entire side of the fence with some whipped up dossier and mounds of evidence that got impeachment nowhere fast, twice. Hell, most of them still believe the Russia hoax ordeal. AOC probably really thinks it happened while the long time ticks embedded in congress giggle about it over a glass of fancy wine.

There is a VERY long list of left wing wackos they like to parade around.
