Keep in mind that Martinez's mistakes cost us the MIchigan game, the Purdue game and the Illinois game. Cannot recall all the other games he cost us but there have been plenty. Frost did not make those mistakes. Granted he could have benched Martinez but from what most of us have seen, the backups would not have been any better now or the past few years. Our backup a few years ago is now third string at Rice so that tells me something. The record may have turned out the same, but AM should’ve been benched during or at the very least after the Illinois game.
I agree in part, but hasn’t every Husker coach that has been fired been let go by an AD that didn’t hire them? If so, I would hope Trev follows that trend ASAP.Sage advice. If Frost was anyone other than an ex Husker QB National champion he would have been fired after year three. Riley was fired and yet had a much better record. Bo was fired with a far superior record. Yet here we are wallowing in the mud with the worst Husker coach arguably in history.
I am not asking for Frost to be fired. He’s made mistakes, but I’m tired of the coaching carousel. I am tired of AMart and would rather watch Nebraska lose with Smothers or any other QB.Keep in mind that Martinez's mistakes cost us the MIchigan game, the Purdue game and the Illinois game. Frost did not miss all those PAT's and field goal kicks. Do those mistakes make him a bad coach??? Frankly don't know. Yeah coaches take the blame when loses occur as that is how it works. I am certainly no expert here but have been watching Husker football since the early 70's and really believe the talent level the past 10 years or so has been some of the lowest I have seen, give or take a few players. Times have changed and so have the kids that play college football. Most think they will play in the NFL and go to the schools that will put them there. Sad time to be a Husker fan right now. Will let those in charge who make the big bucks decide whether Frost needs to stay or go.
What Frost has not done is replace those players who are incapable of playing because being in over their head or injury. How do you know that the QB's behind AM are not capable of playing this year. What little playing time they have had makes me believe they can. Being in charge makes you unpopular to at least one segment of people you influence. Frost is choosing poorly.Keep in mind that Martinez's mistakes cost us the MIchigan game, the Purdue game and the Illinois game. YES! Are you serious? Good coaches win. Bad coaches lose. Do you honestly believe that a good coach couldn't have this exact group of players solidly in a bowl game right now?Do those mistakes make him a bad coach???
I've felt the same to this point. But Frost seemingly refuses (REFUSES) to adjust and make changes. Not sure I can take another year of Frost and Martinez. At this point I'm good with firing Frost.I am not asking for Frost to be fired. He’s made mistakes, but I’m tired of the coaching carousel. I am tired of AMart and would rather watch Nebraska lose with Smothers or any other QB.
But he is Frost and that makes the situation different.Sage advice. If Frost was anyone other than an ex Husker QB National champion he would have been fired after year three. Words that should have been heeded after year 3
we all saw what we saw after 2 years and year 3 was confirmatory
year 4 was a result of refusing to believe what our eyes were telling us due to pure and simple nepotism.
Frost appears to be a slow blinker as a coach. Gets stuck and can't/won't adjust.Keep in mind that Martinez's mistakes cost us the MIchigan game, the Purdue game and the Illinois game. Not here to stop a good Frost bash but I respectfully disagree this.Keep in mind that Martinez's mistakes cost us the MIchigan game
Nice try, we're not keeping FrostNot here to stop a good Frost bash but I respectfully disagree this.
Martinez was a warrior in that game and officiating notwithstanding there were 3 minutes left in the game with Nebraska ball on their own 25 yard line with the score tied 29-29.
Nebraska was a long way from winning that game and Martinez was the only reason that The huskers were in it at all.
Go Blue!
Will you take Harbaugh?Nice try, we're not keeping Frost
Deal. Straight up swap. You can even have the whole staff. Will you take Harbaugh?
go Blue!
Other than not running up-tempo anymore (because we can't execute it without committing penalties) there's not a single material thing we are doing today (while losing) than we did over the last 4 seasons -- (while losing).John Cook made that tough decision by benching Lexi Sun. Frost can’t bring himself to do it.
He is Ron “ Cookie Monster” Prince.Scott Frost is Bernie Masterson.
At least Harbs wins the games he's supposed to. Quit yer bitching. Will you take Harbaugh?
go Blue!

No way in hell Saban would trust his offense to someone as incompetent and stubborn as Frost. We would take OBrien however, quite eagerly. How about a straight-up trade with Alabama for Bill O'Brien? Fraudst can re-hab his image as an offensive consultant for Saban.
He will be good for 10 wins per year on average, but will lose big games like Ohio State, Michigan State, and Penn State. I personally would be satisfied with him. Will you take Harbaugh?
go Blue!
I agree the record may have been the same but the loses to OU, MSU, and Mich would have been by 14+ without Amart. He really has only had 1 terrible game, a couple bad ones, but mostly good to great games by him this season. Look I get it, the Backup QB is always the most popular on a team. Worked really well for us last year. McCaffrey was terrible. We have not had a good backup since Joe Ganz. The record may have turned out the same, but AM should’ve been benched during or at the very least after the Illinois game.
Until Smothers plays like Luke McCaffrey and everybody says well maybe AM ain’t so bad. Been there done that!I am not asking for Frost to be fired. He’s made mistakes, but I’m tired of the coaching carousel. I am tired of AMart and would rather watch Nebraska lose with Smothers or any other QB.
So let me get this straight - because McCaffrey sucked we never take a look at another quarterback in a game?Until Smothers plays like Luke McCaffrey and everybody says well maybe AM ain’t so bad. Been there done that!
No I’ve seen Smothers throw the football. He is brutal. So let me get this straight - because McCaffrey sucked we never take a look at another quarterback in a game?
I'll add until yesterday, A Mart had only three int's for the season. His fourth interception yesterday was more on Allen.I agree the record may have been the same but the loses to OU, MSU, and Mich would have been by 14+ without Amart. I don't get this. The limited action I've watched of him this season, I thought he looked decent. Nowhere near as inept as McCaffrey was and can at least actually pass the ball. Couple that with running it, why not see if the guy doesn't light a fire for his team?Until Smothers plays like Luke McCaffrey and everybody says well maybe AM ain’t so bad. Been there done that!
What's brutal is thinking or saying any version of "well maybe AM ain't so bad." You've seen Smothers throw 11 passes on the season, we've got 3 wins and you're still thinking we should stick with AM. Brutal. We literally have nothing to lose.No I’ve seen Smothers throw the football. He is brutal.
