Thanks for a respectful reply. Regarding the bolded, I have a cousin who eats a mj candy bar before bed so she falls asleep easier. That's it. Not high during the day, not looking to get a buzz. Albeit, that's the exception not the norm, but it does go against the bolded. The statement about medicating wasn’t aimed at only people smoking weed, it’s aimed towards anybody who has to alter their normal state. I personally think there is more collateral damage from drinking alcohol than there ever will be from weed. I know many people who cannot function without having to drink to get a buzz.
I simply don’t buy the argument that people choose to partake in any of these activities because they see you some sort of health benefit in it, that it taste good, etc. You take your first sip, toke, injection, (however the drug is administered) in the hopes to feel better (a buzz). Yes, some people can manage it without becoming a burden on society - others cannot.
There is no way “not” to pay for it. Taxpayers are already paying for the damage - if a drug is legal or not. So I imagine taxing it could ease the burden some…
I heard there's alot more loitering and panhandling in the streets in denver now that they are of unsober mindI live in the Denver metro area, so I don’t need to read some anonymous post to know what’s going on here. Legalized weed is fine. Many people use it, many people don’t. To each their own. No big deal.
Stoners are gonna smoke it regardless though, so the above scenario is here already. The inability to tell if a driver is currently under the influence of weed is valid, but it's not isolated to just states with legal weed.the problem with legalizing weed is liability.

I also like to use it for sleepThanks for a respectful reply. Regarding the bolded, I have a cousin who eats a mj candy bar before bed so she falls asleep easier. That's it. Well then it must be true! But seriously, the source you heard this from, did they really go out and count the number of panhandlers before and after? I doubt it, this was probably just an example of an anti-weed person looking for something. If you're happy, you don't notice these things as much. If you're upset about something (i.e legal weed) then you can start "seeing" problems that were already there.I heard there's alot more loitering and panhandling in the streets in denver now that they are of unsober mind
marijuana use impairs perception, judgment, thinking, memory, and learning; memory defects may persist six weeks after last use. Mental disorders connected with marijuana use merit their own category in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) IV, published by the American Psychiatric Association. These include Cannabis Intoxication (consisting of impaired motor coordination, anxiety, impaired judgment, sensation of slowed time, social withdrawal, and often includes perceptual disturbances; Cannabis Intoxication Delirium (memory deficit, disorientation); Cannabis Induced Psychotic Disorder, Delusions; Cannabis Induced Psychotic Disorder, Hallucinations; and Cannabis Induced Anxiety Disorder.Stoners are gonna smoke it regardless though, so the above scenario is here already. look we don't need any minnesota liberals in these parts telling us how to turn the towns and cities of nebraska into a lawless sodom thru drug abuse.Well then it must be true! Edit: plus I'll take the word of the poster living in Denver vs. anonymous "I heard" stuff any day.
Edit 2: I think a better example would be your football team. If you didn't have the special teams miscues and Amart fumbles, you'd have 3-4 more W's and you wouldn't be scrutinizing the play of your offensive line as much. But when you're miserable because you're having a losing season etc. then things you don't like will stand out more to you.
Are there other things that should be legalized because "they're going to do it anyway"?Stoners are gonna smoke it regardless though, so the above scenario is here already. any use of illegal drugs is technically drug abuse. If caffeine was illegal, it's use would be abuse. Caffeine can cause psychosis and withdrawal is officially a mental disorder.look we don't need any minnesota liberals in these parts telling us how to turn the towns and cities of nebraska into a lawless sodom thru drug abuse.
then stay away from the high THC strains and concentratesmarijuana use impairs perception, judgment, thinking, memory, and learning; memory defects may persist six weeks after last use. There’s a homeless problem. But that’s not related in anything but a trivial number of cases. Mostly mental health, uneducated/unskilled plus no luck/support, alcoholics. And they travel to where it’s nice and they get handouts.I heard there's alot more loitering and panhandling in the streets in denver now that they are of unsober mind
How does this relate to my post at all? You mentioned the driving impaired issue and I pointed out that exists either way, legal or illegal weed. This isn't related to that at all, did you mean to reply to someone else? I'm not disputing what you say, just questioning why it's in a legal/illegal thread. It belongs in a use/don't use kinda thread. No offense.marijuana use impairs perception, judgment, thinking, memory, and learning; memory defects may persist six weeks after last use. I can PROMISE you I am not liberal! Conservative all the way. Fingers crossed on Trump winning in 2024. The rest of your post is just your own fear mongering, which I'm not gonna touch. Facts, sure.look we don't need any minnesota liberals in these parts telling us how to turn the towns and cities of nebraska into a lawless sodom thru drug abuse.
Prostitution comes to mind. I haven't studied it a ton, but I'd think date rape would drop significantly if people could just go the extra distance with a stripper. Do it cleanly in a well-managed environment. Are there other things that should be legalized because "they're going to do it anyway"?

Nebraska will hard pass on the liberal drug agenda...they are a road to nowhereville
I was thinking him as well, if Trump decides not to run. Hopefully the end of his first term, all the rinos would be cleared out and we'd have only patriot republicans in there, like that Georgia lady. So sick and tired of giving the repubs a majority somewhere only to watch them fold a winning hand because one rino decided to switch sides. So to sum it up, **** Romney, **** Murkowski, **** the deceased McCain, ...shall I go on? : - )trumps a lil too liberal for me...cruz in 24
on top of the fact that I doubt legal weed is involved with either of those two videos he posted.what is a liberal drug vs a conservative drug?
No kidding. From the looks of the second one, I would guess opioid, benzo, or even good ole fashioned American boozeon top of the fact that I doubt legal weed is involved with either of those two videos he posted.
Notice how he's trying classic liberal arguing techniques. While this is about legal weed, he's bringing in all drugs, etc. Just like liberals do when you're arguing about spending, etc. He didn't get anywhere with specifics, so let's generalize it up a bit and start talking about problems with hard core drugs and how it's coming next, etc. FEAR MONGERING. He probably hates it when pelosi does it.No kidding. From the looks of the second one, I would guess opioid, benzo, or even good ole fashioned American booze
Absolutely false. I've been smoking since the '90s and I haven't "stepped" up to anything else yet, and there are a ton of people like me. That's just more fear mongering that you're falling for, but it lines up with the result you want (criminalization of weed) so you accept it.weed is the stepping stone drug......
I should have put this in with the last reply, but this is false too. Maybe it's 100% correct for your extremely limited sample size, but that's as far as you can run with it.folks at a party smoke some weed, the next thing they are open to try harder drugs...this is indisputable fact...
Because it's the easiest drug to get, it's the least expensive drug to get. Teen ages drink beer - is beer a "stepping stone" because some of them become alcoholics? Please answer that question honestly, although I doubt you will. You'll just ignore it and keep spewing your stuff.everyone I know who died from drugs smoked the weed first..
Sounds interesting. For me, I heard from a relative (who is strongly against weed) that back in the '60s people were using LSD and jumping off of buildings and such and so the gov't had to police it. I wasn't alive back in the '60s and I was a lot younger when I heard this, so I believed it. Do you know anything about LSD and people jumping off of buildings?I never had much use for pot and stopped drinking long ago. However, I wish they would decriminalize LSD or at least stop controlling ergotamine so people could easily make it. The perfect drug....doesn't hurt your lungs or liver, no hangover, and the buzz is awesome.
everyone I know who died from drugs tried sugar firstweed is the stepping stone drug......that leads to worse stuff...that's how it works....folks at a party smoke some weed, the next thing they are open to try harder drugs...this is indisputable fact...
everyone I know who died from drugs smoked the weed first..
then they start questioning what gender they are...then they start with the let everyone out of prison stuff...it's a slippery slope to say the least...
we have to be a competitive country, to fight communism, mohamidisum, and cartelisum
not a bunch of deadbeat stoners getting run over...
lets go brandon....
how bohner was considered a republican we will never know...I was thinking him as well, if Trump decides not to run. Oh sure, and get guys like HIM coming out of the woodworks again:seriously it does more harm than weed and people have no self control to regulate it.
Seriously? You didn't think this through all the way!I believe I saw Omaha had around 100-300 dui's between November-January's of last year, but yeah it's the marijuana that's causing parents to kill their kids and potentially harm innocent others.
I suspect if people jumped off buildings while using acid they were unstable anyway, but I would have to research how many people did stuff like that (if any) and the circumstances surrounding the deaths to have an informed opinion about it. It is possible if someone took lots more than the usual dose he could become so disoriented he might think he could fly. But if someone takes lots more than the usual dose of alcohol things can happen like passing out in a car and freezing to death. The key is not to OD on any drug.Sounds interesting.
