I'm thinking they play mainly clean and have the victory sealed by the 4th quarter and Frost runs up the score on Fleck.

But if its close into the 4th we find a new way to lose. We outgain MN by 220 yards but 3 fumbles keeps MN in the game. We are down 1 with 30 seconds to go, Adrian is supposed to take the ball to the left hash for the kicker and burn the clock to 3 seconds. The snap is high and AM can't handle it, MN recovers. Another brutal loss.

are there any abnormal patterns in vegas betting concerning our losing?
or is it just as bad as it seems?

I have a Minnesota hat around here somewhere. Back when we were in the big 12. Was at the MoA and wanted a hat.
I may wear it to jinx them, since Neb loses when I wear my husker hats

Is there any curses we need to lift or anything. Kind of like the lions have with not paying Calvin Johnson?

If Nebraska loses it will be because Tanner Morgan had extraordinary success passing, The banana peel on defense would then belong to the Husker secondary.

The obvious answer on offense is turnovers and the usual suspect is Martinez with Culp being a person of interest.

The step on the rake option would be drive killing penalties.

I agree. Morgan sucks but seems to have success against us.

Unfortunately I think the O line struggles again with Teddy out. I’m predicting 7 false starts and 3 personal fouls on the o line. Throw in a couple illegal formations and the usual one or two AM miscues, and we lose by 23.

Amart does have a knack for finding ways to lose.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like how Amart folds like a paper tiger, you definitely call your bookie and bet big on Nebraska to lose if it’s a one score game with Nebraska tied or behind and Adrian is the quarterback

The interesting thing about this staff/team is each crushing loss has an entirely different flavor. Things like fumbles in crunch time, slow starts, special teams breakdowns, penalties snatching defeat from victory, astonishingly bad clock management, and so forth. Therefore, it is impossible to predict how each new loss will happen, so speculating on it is pointless. Losing to Minnesota Saturday will be accomplished in a way none of us have ever thought of.

We will dominate throughout but lose when we give up 43 points on the last play of the game. How is that even possible? Stay tuned Husker fans for the next heart-stopping episode of…

We beat Minnesota handily.
I have an uneasy "confidence" heading in to this game. I was knew we would blow out Northwestern, thought we would beat MSU in a close one, was concerned about Meatchicken but thought we could win. This one I think we'll win by 10+. Fingers crossed.

Yep, I think this is how many of us feel. Cautious optimism. Which Nebraska will show up?

You can't even blame those "crushing losses" on the staff IMO. it's like there's a curse on our program. You can NOT make up some of the things that have happened that our out of the control of the coaching staff. Is it the football god humbling Frost for his bluster earlier? At some point some of this stuff has to turn in our favor.

I guess it is how you look at it. Where do you place the "blame" for the fumble last week that essentially ended the game? On the refs? On 2AM for fumbling or not seeing the hole to the left? I blame the play call. First of all IMHO we should have under-center plays for those types of situations, and second, we have a 230lb back who almost never loses yards that was benched earlier for going the wrong way on ONE PLAY.

Not sure why you put crushing losses in quotes, so here is my take on that. I consider all losses as bad, even though we are getting real used to them. However, going up to Columbus and getting a butt kicking is one kind of loss. But losing a game that could be won because of a late game gaff is to me, crushing.

Nebraska leads by 3, with the ball late, but not in a position to run out the clock yet, near midfield. A running play is called but the Gophs get unexpected pressure. 2AM, trying to make something happen, instead of keeping tosses a shovel pass to the unaware Rahmir Johnson. Ball hits Johnson in the back of the helmet, ricochets up and is caught and returned by Minny for a Pick 6. Book it.

Huskers down by 3 with 00:58 left at their own 39. They have 2 timeouts remaing. Fast forward to 3rd and 2 at the Gopher 27, Adrian gets the snap, rolls to his right but gets caught from behind and loses the football from a wicked hit. However, his trailing back gets a lucky bounce, gets the ball and runs into the end zone for the TD!! Xtra point is good, Huskers hold on for a 31-27 victory! 🎉💥💰🥇

I'm afraid its all my fault, friend. October 27th, 2001. I bargained with the football gods that a win over Oklahoma and NCG appearance was worthy of 20 years of mediocrity.

I did not know what I had done, their treachery was impossible to predict.

I apologize to everyone.

only 12 days of this curse left.

I saw a highlight that Yant fell on the 4th down goalline play. And culp is not a good kicker, we need to let him go.

Fall over on the 1 inch line, missed field goal/extra point, and a safety on an intentional grounding will cause the defense to say, “**** this!” and give up on defense leading to a 46 yard run by a 3rd string running back to seal it with 2 minutes left.
