I guess it is how you look at it. Where do you place the "blame" for the fumble last week that essentially ended the game? On the refs? On 2AM for fumbling or not seeing the hole to the left? I blame the play call. First of all IMHO we should have under-center plays for those types of situations, and second, we have a 230lb back who almost never loses yards that was benched earlier for going the wrong way on ONE PLAY.

Not sure why you put crushing losses in quotes, so here is my take on that. I consider all losses as bad, even though we are getting real used to them. However, going up to Columbus and getting a butt kicking is one kind of loss. But losing a game that could be won because of a late game gaff is to me, crushing.
The fumble by Martinez regardless of how it happened is on Martinez. Nobody else. Our 230 lb back who almost never loses yards tripped and fell down on 4th and one near the goal line against Minnesota.. You can NOT make this stuff up. It's mind boggling. I'm surprised Frost has any hair or finger nails left. I don't have the answers.

If Nebraska loses it will be because Tanner Morgan had extraordinary success passing, The banana peel on defense would then belong to the Husker secondary.

The obvious answer on offense is turnovers and the usual suspect is Martinez with Culp being a person of interest.

The step on the rake option would be drive killing penalties.
Good call
