Wisconsin before these last 2 years was the team Nebraska fans wanted to emulate when it came to competiveness/wins. They had both 9+ wins per year and they were competitive in important games.

The goal is to get both the wins in addition to being competitive in important games.
2 ways to get there.
Get the wins and take your lumps against good teams until you can compete with them, or be competitive and relentless until you pop the door open, and the wins follow.
Both ways have and can happen.

Pelini had the wins, but wasn't competitive against above average to elite teams.
Frost so far, has not had the wins, but I believe they are much more competitive against better teams right now.

Getting wins while not being competitive and doing this for years is depressing (we all remember that feeling )
Lack of wins but being competitive can be depressing but much more fun to watch and experience.

100%. I’m not at all for moral victories. Frost has to start winning, but I am also happy we aren’t the laughing stock we were at the end
Of Pelini and during the Riley era just getting blown the **** out in big games. Yes, Frost has had a few, but people I k is that used to talk **** are singing a different tune. They echo everyone saying we are damn close

I agree with Frost needing wins.
I would love wins to come to compliment the way they have been playing.
Wins against this really hard schedule would have been so nice.

I don't talk ****, but I will talk smack.

I started my first day on this site by saying NU needs to change personnel on the OL. I also said Benhart needs to be benched. I said Austin needs to be sent packing, and still feel that way. A Head Coach does not have the time to babysit a position and lead the teaching.

As a side point, when Teddy went down and Benhart moved to RT, I told my wife we are screwed. Other than whiffing real early, I thought Benhart came in and did a pretty good job considering the quality of defense.

I'm not opposed to being called out on here if I said something that turned out to be innacurate. With Teddy's injury, I better get used to Benhart, and I will hope he does an adequate job.

When SF made some changes, I slowed my roll.

Then I targeted SF. Prior to those changes I wanted him gone. Now, I think Trev has helped SF in several ways, and there's been an improvement. So, I've tempered it to the point where I think even a 5-7 record may be enough for SF to return.

I thought SF's post game press conference was bizarre. There's no question Trev has told him to quit throw throwing players under the bus.

I also thought, in a strange way, that Scott spoke like a guy who feels he will return and is playing to the sympathy of the fans. Could be totally wrong.

Only the lamest of Husker fans wanted to be like Wisconsin. If you could not see that Wisconsin was lame you did not understand what was going on.

Pelini had plenty of wins against good teams.

Don’t know what your referring to but since we’ve join the B1G, Wisconsin had the 2nd best program in the Big 10..
Alvarez is gone now but Wisconsin played a lot like Nebraska minus option football with strong line play on both sides of the ball..

Badgers have no QB is the reason why they have dropped off the past 2 years..

I agree again.
So who did we want to be like ? Don’t give me the lame answer of Ohio St because when we came in the league Wisconsin just had Russell Wilson transfer and they were very good on offense running and passing..

I mean, we did not want to be like anyone. We want to be a good-great Nebraska team.
