those pesky facts keep getting in the way of the narrative that the MAC can't give B1G teams a run for their money on any given weekend. To be fair, the MAC has won 30 games against big ten opponents since 2006

But he beat Fordham and Buffalo....deserves a contract extension and a raise for it.Me thinks Adrian will be running around for his life for 4 quarters against OU. Reality hits on Saturday.
Those stats can be deceiving though. How many were against the top teams in the league? How many of those Big Ten teams ended their seasons with winning records?those pesky facts keep getting in the way of the narrative that the MAC can't give B1G teams a run for their money on any given weekend.
It’s not just the OL. It’s everybody. Watch the first few plays against Buffalo. First play of the game and a pulling guard makes contact against a 228 lb DE, who fights it off. The hole was there if our guard can maintain his block - but we get stuffed. A qb draw, running back whiffs leading the qb thru the hole, hole was there but again stuffed. Run to the right side edge, OL fits but tight end and WR (faking a jet sweep) both whiff, again stuffed.Defense looked closer to vintage. Offense looked ok despite the refs and occasional missed throws. Toure is awesome. OL still doesn't runblock well but the talent is there to be great. I don't know what is going on with Culp but maybe he'll get his aim back. If this team shows up next week a huge upset is possible.
Well we're closer to Rutgers than Ohio State right now, so beating the MAC runner up by 25 is a pretty decent week for us and may be a sign of some progress. Those stats can be deceiving though. Since 2006, that is 15 seasons, not counting last year when there were no matchups. So basically 2 per year. How many were Ohio over Ohio St vs Buffalo over Rutgers?
I get it, I am just saying that when a G5 team beats P5 team, great, but it means more when it is Ohio over Ohio St and not Miami OH over VandyWell we're closer to Rutgers than Ohio State right now, so beating the MAC runner up by 25 is a pretty decent week for us and may be a sign of some progress.
