Still missing it.So you’re all for cancel culture then. You’re all making my point for me. You aren’t opposed to brands or sports getting involved in political matters. You are only opposed when they don’t align with your thinking.

One side is selective, thats a factOne side has selective outrage. That is my entire point. Outrage when a business, celebrity, sport makes a stand that we don’t agree with. Full support when that same business has a viewpoint that is in agreement with my own.
I will boycott all MLB activity. It's my personal stance that all organizations like corporations and sports teams should stay out of politics regardless of whether their organizational views are left or right. These organizations need to remain purely neutral IMO and let the politics be up to the individual people and politicians. Don't expect any commercial support from me if organizations choose to be political.Explain how the voting law change is racist. If you can't, let MLB know you are done watching.
I have no problem admitting that both sides are selective. Why is it hard for you to admit that? One side is selective, thats a fact

Many claim to hate cancel culture, but they are quick to cancel Nike for supporting Colin Kaepernick.
My entire point was already made. I’m no longer engaging with this topic. Thanks.
You can be mailed 1000 ballots.. only 1 is still counted. It would be great if everyone who was eligible would be mailed multiple ballots to get more participants in the process. I guess since so many people voted on the last election and it was as secure of a process as its ever been why change anything at all?I have no opinion on this new law as I haven't read it. What I do is a fact is my brother receive 2 ballots in the mail for the last election. Both were addressed to him and he didn't request either one. Now on paper, he appears like someone who is a likely Dem voter. When he works, it's for near the minimum wage. Has had drug problems and spent time in prison. (Has since cleaned up his act) Was this a mistake or on purpose? Was this an isolated incident or wide spread? I couldn't possibly know but it's fact it happened to him.
TIFWIW.
I respect you said you were done with this thread and I don't blame you but is this the only example you have from "the other side?"

And I assume you have reliable proof of that?dekalb county sent out 21 million vote by mail ballets. they have 1 million voters. please explain
Baaahhh.. Actually, as an engineer, yes. You should try learning and research... not just what NewsMAX tells you...Lol you are a sheep. Do you also“believe in science”?
And by the way, cancel culture is dumb.. it is for the weak minded...
I’m also an engineer, and I went to a better school than you. Thanks!Baaahhh.. Actually, as an engineer, yes. You should try learning and research... not just what NewsMAX tells you...
i seen the invoices. go look, dont expect the msm to spoonfeed you mush. this will all eventually come to the surface as it has time and time again concerning anything trump. And I assume you have reliable proof of that?
Oh c'mon....I'm boycotting MLB since they support unfair elections, election fraud, and stolen elections.
not that i necessarily agree with the decision but they are also appealing to a large portion of their customer base. maybe a larger portion than they are alienating. so in the end maybe its good business decision. idk
my college buddies and I dont care a fig about what you want to label "woke" behavior or ideals. it wont affect your average fan's decision to attend games. just the people who worry about political things i.e. you
So, since MLB has decided to make the baseball a political event that's it I'm done. I would also tell the University of Nebraska the exact same thing,

Another option would be to fine Delta every time they land or depart later than scheduled at ATLGeorgia is going to take away Delta's tax advantages. Sherman will make them howl again

Yup. Can't wait for MLB to announce it is pulling its corporate offices out of NY, or cancelling contracts with China, or apologize for having an exhibition game in Cuba. What are the election laws in those countries? Oh, right, not much, or any.
Very little actual thinking. Mostly overly emotional Karens, angry about everything, all of the time.LOL, now Stacey Abrams is asking people NOT to boycott Georgia or Georgia corporations because those efforts would most hurt the low income people in Georgia who depend on those jobs. Next time maybe they should think it through first.
But they’d arrive late. They’d go out of business in 43 minutes.
Just another reason for me to not watch it. F them. Stick to what you do best .... that is playing the gameExplain how the voting law change is racist. If you can't, let MLB know you are done watching.
Here are the most significant changes to voting in the state, as written into the new law:Here are the most significant changes to voting in the state, as written into the new law:
- Voters will now have less time to request absentee ballots.
- There are strict new ID requirements for absentee ballots.
- It’s now illegal for election officials to mail out absentee ballot applications to all voters.
- Drop boxes still exist … but barely.
- Mobile voting centers (think an R.V. where you can vote) are essentially banned.
- Early voting is expanded in a lot of small counties, but probably not in more populous ones.
- Offering food or water to voters waiting in line now risks misdemeanor charges.
- If you go to the wrong polling place, it will be (even) harder to vote.
- If election problems arise, a common occurrence, it is now more difficult to extend voting hours.
- With a mix of changes to vote-counting, high-turnout elections will probably mean a long wait for results.
- Election officials can no longer accept third-party funding (a measure that nods to right-wing conspiracy theories).
- With an eye toward voter fraud, the state attorney general will manage an election hotline.
- The Republican-controlled legislature has more control over the State Election Board.
- The secretary of state is removed as a voting member of the State Election Board.
- The G.O.P.-led legislature is empowered to suspend county election officials.
- Runoff elections will happen faster — and could become harder to manage.
Here are the most significant changes to voting in the state, as written into the new law:
The rest of these I'll get to later.
- Voters will now have less time to request absentee ballots. 3 months is an adequate amount of time to request a ballot
- There are strict new ID requirements for absentee ballots. They literally have to write their DL number on a form. - In order to confirm the identity of the voter, such form shall require the elector to provide his or her name, date of birth, address as registered, address where the elector wishes the ballot to be mailed, and the number of his or her Georgia driver’s license or identification card issued
- It’s now illegal for election officials to mail out absentee ballot applications to all voters. If a citizen wishes to vote, they should be able to request a ballot. The city, county, state, or country does not go pick up every person 18 or older, take them to a voting station then weed out who can vote, who wants to vote etc.
- Drop boxes still exist … but barely. So the mail now isn't good enough? There are still drop boxes available.
- Mobile voting centers (think an R.V. where you can vote) are essentially banned. Did they provide these mobile voting centers to other cities and towns or just in the low income and predominately democrat city of Atlanta?
- Early voting is expanded in a lot of small counties, but probably not in more populous ones. The provision also adds a second required Saturday of early voting (the previous law required only one), which will increase access to early voting in most of the state’s rural counties, where election administrators have often been short-staffed and have offered fewer hours of early voting. Most larger counties in the state already offered multiple weekend days of early voting. So basically they did nothing but allow rural counties the same courtesy of an extra Saturday that the larger counties already had. Sounds like a typical democratic tactic.
- Offering food or water to voters waiting in line now risks misdemeanor charges. Water is still allowed if provided by the county just not a political party. If the Republican party was providing food and water in the rural counties, then the democrats would be complaining that they were doing something illegal.
- If you go to the wrong polling place, it will be (even) harder to vote. Don't go to the wrong polling place.
- If election problems arise, a common occurrence, it is now more difficult to extend voting hours.
- With a mix of changes to vote-counting, high-turnout elections will probably mean a long wait for results.

Bravo! The funny part about this as well is go look into Joe's home state of Delaware and a lot of other blue states. Wayyyyyy more stringent, but POTUS Biden continues to say this new voting regulation is the equivalent to Jim Crow. He might want to go back and read up on Jim Crow..... POTUS is a ******** senile ****.
