So you’re all for cancel culture then. You’re all making my point for me. You aren’t opposed to brands or sports getting involved in political matters. You are only opposed when they don’t align with your thinking.
Still missing it.

One side has selective outrage. That is my entire point. Outrage when a business, celebrity, sport makes a stand that we don’t agree with. Full support when that same business has a viewpoint that is in agreement with my own.
One side is selective, thats a fact

Explain how the voting law change is racist. If you can't, let MLB know you are done watching.
I will boycott all MLB activity. It's my personal stance that all organizations like corporations and sports teams should stay out of politics regardless of whether their organizational views are left or right. These organizations need to remain purely neutral IMO and let the politics be up to the individual people and politicians. Don't expect any commercial support from me if organizations choose to be political.

That's my view. Others may have their own different views.

AND I really resent political groups trying to force these organizations to take a political stance. The political groups are free to express their beliefs as much as they want but that's enough. They need to halt their bullying of others. It's bullying pure and simple.

I have no problem admitting that both sides are selective. Why is it hard for you to admit that?

Many claim to hate cancel culture, but they are quick to cancel Nike for supporting Colin Kaepernick.

My entire point was already made. I’m no longer engaging with this topic. Thanks.

I respect you said you were done with this thread and I don't blame you but is this the only example you have from "the other side?"

I have no opinion on this new law as I haven't read it. What I do is a fact is my brother receive 2 ballots in the mail for the last election. Both were addressed to him and he didn't request either one. Now on paper, he appears like someone who is a likely Dem voter. When he works, it's for near the minimum wage. Has had drug problems and spent time in prison. (Has since cleaned up his act) Was this a mistake or on purpose? Was this an isolated incident or wide spread? I couldn't possibly know but it's fact it happened to him.

TIFWIW.
You can be mailed 1000 ballots.. only 1 is still counted. It would be great if everyone who was eligible would be mailed multiple ballots to get more participants in the process. I guess since so many people voted on the last election and it was as secure of a process as its ever been why change anything at all?

Again, individuals choosing to buy / not buy a product is an entirely different story than companies and institutions doing all they can to destroy others. Enjoy your day.

not that i necessarily agree with the decision but they are also appealing to a large portion of their customer base. maybe a larger portion than they are alienating. so in the end maybe its good business decision. idk
my college buddies and I dont care a fig about what you want to label "woke" behavior or ideals. it wont affect your average fan's decision to attend games. just the people who worry about political things i.e. you

You're wrong by a country mile.

MLB demographics

"my college buddies and I dont care a fig about what you want to label "woke" behavior or ideals." Neither I or the rest of the world give a fig what you and your college buddies think.

"it wont affect your average fan's decision to attend games. just the people who worry about political things i.e. you" You must live to be wrong, because you can't get this wrong on accident. I actually resent politics being injected into sports, from the 68 Olympics to today.

So, since MLB has decided to make the baseball a political event that's it I'm done. I would also tell the University of Nebraska the exact same thing,
I will boycott all MLB activity. It's my personal stance that all organizations like corporations and sports teams should stay out of politics regardless of whether their organizational views are left or right.

Nebraska is part of the NCAA - similar to the Reds being a part of MLB

NCAA bans all championship events in states where the confederate flag is flown

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved rules to allow student-athletes in all sports to wear patches on their uniforms for commemorative and memorial purposes, as well as to support social justice issues

LOL, now Stacey Abrams is asking people NOT to boycott Georgia or Georgia corporations because those efforts would most hurt the low income people in Georgia who depend on those jobs. Next time maybe they should think it through first.

Yup. Can't wait for MLB to announce it is pulling its corporate offices out of NY, or cancelling contracts with China, or apologize for having an exhibition game in Cuba. What are the election laws in those countries? Oh, right, not much, or any.

Actually there aren't much differences in elections here and those places...

Very little actual thinking. Mostly overly emotional Karens, angry about everything, all of the time.

The rest of these I'll get to later.

Bravo! The funny part about this as well is go look into Joe's home state of Delaware and a lot of other blue states. Wayyyyyy more stringent, but POTUS Biden continues to say this new voting regulation is the equivalent to Jim Crow. He might want to go back and read up on Jim Crow..... POTUS is a ******** senile ****.

He is, but I'm not letting him off that easy. He's a hack, a phony. Nothing much worse than a phony. Good thing we've got the media there to hold him accountable.
