No. I mean retire or takes a better job. What difference does it make Herky? Moos hired the best man for the job at the time. Who on here didn't want Frost or Hoiberg when they were hired? They were the overwhelmingly popular choice. So, what actually did he do to be fired??By moves on ... you mean fired, correct?
Ed or Jamie yes. Rimington meh. I'd take Trev over him.Not Trev. Check with Remington, Ed Stewart, and Jamie Williams
I don’t think the timing is right for Moos to leave now because Cook wants to coach longer to see these recruits develop. However, know doubt in my mind Hildebrand was brought back to take the reins and I would guess it will be like TO, before we are ready.John F'ing Cook.
But really, maybe Ed Stewart.
Bring back Shawn eichorst
Honest question, why? I don’t see why he would be the guy other than being an alumni. Have UNO athletics improved under his watch? Was moving to D1 the right move?Trev is the likely choice if/when Moos moves on.

He killed football and wrestling to be D1. One was a good program, one was an elite program. Have they been better off?

Steve pederson would be a good hire. People forget that he brought our football team into the 21st century by hiring future hall of famer Bill Callahan. Bill was the best recruiter weave had since bob Devaney.
It's John Cook, and it ain't even close.I don’t think the timing is right for Moos to leave now because Cook wants to coach longer to see these recruits develop. However, know doubt in my mind Hildebrand was brought back to take the reins and I would guess it will be like TO, before we are ready.
John Cook would be a tremendous AD if he is interested in managing the whole deal. Very knowledgeable of all sports and dealing with people. Just hope it’s not another off the wall like Eichorst.
great two dip $&it post‘s in one thread for you.
Congrates!
Why would we want a yes man as the AD?I think Trev did exactly as he was told when it comes to those programs you mentioned, not his baby.
Wrestling was self sustaining. He had no choice to rid of wresting so UNO could be in the Summit a one bid league to the NCAA tournament....
Wrestling doesn’t make squat financially, hockey and Basketball were the only way to go..
please watch you’re language. Their are better ways to express you’re self. Thanks!

Wrestling was self sustaining.
They already had hockey and it was already D1. They added men’s soccer. Is basketball self sustaining? Making money? Is UNO in a better financial position now?
My main point is, is it better to be a good D2 school or a bad D1 school? I think I’d rather have an elite D2 wrestling program, good D2 football program, then be a low end D1 program. Especially if there isn’t a real financial difference.
Highly doubt he’d take it, but he’d be great. It's John Cook, and it ain't even close.
Why would we want a yes man as the AD?
Suh honestly wouldn't be a half bad idea. Has a construction management degree and has spent a ton of time around Warren Buffett as well as being involved in other philanthropy type stuffJoe Moglia
Ndamukong Suh
I agree, alumni at UNO can't stand the guy. I don't see us hiring a guy without significant AD or ast AD experience.Honest question, why? I don’t see why he would be the guy other than being an alumni. Have UNO athletics improved under his watch? Was moving to D1 the right move?

That has to be one of the dumbest damn claims ever presented here.I know the wrestling team was super good but not one person actually cared about that program.
They didn't. I get you are mad but be honest. No fans cared about that team(s).That has to be one of the dumbest damn claims ever presented here.
"not one person cared about the program" LOL
I think your post about Trev needing to be arrested might be just a tad bit dumber??That has to be one of the dumbest damn claims ever presented here.
