Who the fuq cancels a national powerhouse athletic program for no good reason? UNO had won 6 of the last 8 national championships when they got the axe. And seriously, what kind of enema bag AD announces the cut just as the team is being handed the championship trophy? He should have had his nuts kicked up into his throat for that alone.

Here is the thing. 99.9% of UNO students and alums did not know that, they really had no clue.

It might as well have been a club sport.

One, count it, one dance for the UNO hoops program trumps all of what the wrestling program has ever done.

Good lord, look at Iowa and PSU wrestling, basically the best of the best and no one cares.

Be totally honest, please, from 1990-to the end of UNO Wrestling, how many meets did you attend?

Also, how many UNO football games did you attend?

I am going to guess, combined, the number is under 10.

There is nobody more qualified to run Husker athletics than Trev Alberts. I know some people despise the fact that he terminated some Mav athletics, but he made some tough decisions that were in the works before he took that job.
