The US tried that once for a period of 2 years. Didn’t make it the full 2 years people hated it.

I never thought I'd ever see someone so passionate about Daylight Saving Time. And I was a meteorology major in undergraduate school. 🤨

proud to sponsor the Sunshine Protection Act to add an extra hour of sunshine for the full 365 days a year." Now you can play catch all the live long day!! LOL
Plus, if you were to take a poll of American dads, I'd wager most would admit they don't toss the ball to their kid for more than 10 minutes before heading inside for a beer, and only once per week, generously.

Even though it needs to be changed, it probably never gets addressed because no politician wants to be the guy that's the poster boy for getting rid of it.

Not when there's other super-important stuff they could be doing.
How about we ask Hawaii and Arizona if they want to go back to daylight savings time? My guess is that is a resounding hell no.

No ****!

And also, the kids grow up. I know once I hit about 13 the last thing I wanted to do was play catch with my Dad.

Oh I didn’t realize DST was created for you. By all means let’s get rid of it right away now that you’re 14. Hope you got all your clocks figured out.

My son and I threw the ball literally almost up to the hour before he left for the Air Force.....what the hell are some of you guys talking about???
Plus mountain biking, basketball, almost daily.....gheesh there was never enough time in the day. DST sucks.

From the folks who voted no, why? Just curious as I see no benefits any more.
I’m one of the few who wants to keep the time change alive.

Summer: I want the sun out an hour later.

Winter: The sun is going to be down when I get off work no matter what, even if we kept DST year round. I like turning the clock back so I at least see the sun in the morning. If DST existed in the winter I’d go to work in the dark, leave work in the dark. There are some parts of the country that wouldn’t get sunrise until 9:30am.
