meh. Nice player but he can't pass as well as Adrian from what I've seen.
I think he means the RB that entered the portal. 1,000 yard rusher this season.

Seriously? Ummm because they’re virtually never going to carry the ball...???
Exactly. And clearly he can't throw as well as Martinez.
What a moron. Walk-ons don’t cost any scholarships. For you to troll by saying Nebraska has more RBs than anyone in the conference, you were obviously hoping no one checked and called you out, forcing you to include walk-ons...So walk-ons don’t really count as being on the team/roster?
if memory serves I believe there are frequent threads about walk on commits in fact below is a recent quote about a walk-on --
"____________ is a stud who could play for a lot of B1G teams."
if we really shouldn't count walkons I wish the university would post 2 different rosters - one with the players that count and the other with walkons
Exactly. And clearly he can't throw as well as Martinez.
But we still get 85 scholarships. If you assume we have more walksons logic would suggest we have more players at a given position than other teams if you include walkons.of course you include walk ons - they are on the roster - Neb carries at least double the walkons of almost every power 5 program -why wouldn’t you include them?

I am gonna go out on a limb and say Nebraska also has more QBs, more WRs, more OLinemen, more Dlinemen, more linebackers, and more DBs than any other team in the conference. You know why? Walk-ons.
So no need for you to post here that we have more of any single position group anymore if you are going to include walk-ons.
2/10 for that troll attempt.
Neb has far more RBs on their roster than any other divisional team
You know full well what you did. How does a larger number affect the scholarship distribution? How does having more walk ons on the team become a bad thing?got it-- walkons don't count -- will keep it mind going forward
if they aren't going to count as being on the roster - then they shouldn't be listed on the roster
I knew very well what I posted -- please point to which part of my original statement is false

Looks like a good redzone back.

Your implication in posting what you posted was that it was a bad thing.
2/10 was because you weren’t wrong... but it was still a bad troll job.
I’ve heard you make that argument before many times. If that’s what you were getting at, why didn’t you say that from the start? Again, trolling, but a bad job.i posted several times -- this staff can't handle a roster of 150+ players -- the average roster size is around 115-120
Nebraska has the worst on-filed coach to player ratio in power 5
very little time for individual instruction - scholarship players losing out on reps
and while it doesn't count for scholarship numbers it does count in participation numbers - those numbers have to be accounted for by either fewer men in other sports or more women in those sports (including extra scholarships in order to get to those number so they are title IX compliant)

I can see both sides with large roster size...Reimer will be one of our best defenders on the entire team soon and he's a walk-on. I think Gifford will end up being a good Safety for us in a few years - walk-on. There will be a few more names that come up who will contribute to our football team. Nouili and Miller will push to start on the OL - walk-ons. I think Martin will be a good WR for us - walk-on.
no one is saying get rid of walkons - cut the roster to 120 or so just like every other power 5 program in existence.
Neb carries an entire offense + defense + special teams unit more than other programs
no one needs to be 7 deep on offense and defense —- it severely hinders development
I don't think we should diss on Frost for not going after Burrow. He had a true freshman that was coming off of a great year and looked to be the answer to Nebraska qb situation for at least a couple more years. AM2 didn't pan out. Burrow had a so so first year at LSU and then exploded when he got an NFL OC. He was surround by talented receivers, rb and ol. Joe would not have had that success at Nebraska as we are finding out about player development and recruiting at Nebraska is sub par. Were you not one of the people, that not too long ago were complaining saying we needed to grab more RBs because what we had wasn’t proven? I mean seriously starting to see the trend of nothing that HCSF does is good in your opinion....
I would personally venture to say that HCSF is trying to learn from prior mistakes, meaning he decided not to go after Burrow when all we had was Unproven QB talent, and look how that panned out, now we are looking at a similar situation but at RB with unproven RB depth. I do think it’s a little of an over correction as I do think we need to let your young guys have their chance to shine... I think we have some studs there, but they just need their time with the rock in their hands, so they can show what they can do.
How many scholarship recruits by comparison to other divisional teams? If he would come to Nebraska on scholarship, I think it’s important to compare apples to apples.Neb has far more RBs on their roster than any other divisional team
seems like quite an indictment on recruiting when they are after USCs third string RB
I assume Mills is gone then.

Marvin Scott III is not a big back.I assume Mills is gone then. We already have a big back in Scott III and Yant (walk-on)...I really hope Sevion stays healthy as we will need him.

I don't know who started this but it keeps being said. Marvin Scott is 5'9" (allegedly) and 195 pounds. That is not a big back. Tune in tonight to see what 2 big backs look like.

You've come up with the names of five walk-ons out of seventy on the roster. I'll bet those five would have been given walk on opportunities if there were only fifty walk-ons. What's happening with the other twenty other than requiring more locker space?I can see both sides with large roster size...Reimer will be one of our best defenders on the entire team soon and he's a walk-on. RollingLaugh oops. First we're replacing Adrian, then it's a RB, then it's Wandale. I'm so confused. I thought he was Buffalo's QB.
a certain B1G team is missing from this list, while familiar foes continue to do what seems very obvious to the rest of us - try to get better

It's also possible we got Stepp.and just because this twitter account doesnt list us, doesnt mean we didnt reach out.
I would take Buffalo’s QB also. Good production.RollingLaugh oops. First we're replacing Adrian, then it's a RB, then it's Wandale. I'm so confused. I thought he was Buffalo's QB.
