Considering the millions NU pours into these 2 programs, I doubt you could find another school that is getting a worse return on their investment.

Easily the worst in Power 5. To be fair I think Fred will get it done. He's too good of a coach not to. It's just gonna take a little more time (probably another couple years). The B1G is not the conference you want to be in to build a basketball program. You've gotta play 6 to 10 top 25 teams a year. There isn't a single gimme in this league and I doubt there ever will be. He and Matt gotta recruit their tails off.

If NU loses, this is the sequence why. They gave GT three chances on one possession; have their own terrible possession; then foul on a 3. Then miss a layup; then turn it over

I quit watching shortly after McGowan and Mayan basically gave GT 6 points. Yeah McGowen got a foul on their guard with that punk move but when Mayan got the T for pulling him off of McGowan, it cost us a possession, 2 free throws and then GT got the ball again and scored.

We HAVE to be able to drain 3s when we don't have a legit big man in the middle. It's the whole game for us. IF we come out hot on any given night we could play with some really good teams. When we're not we're going to lose games like this one.

we suck in hoops. we suck in football. at this point, it looks like cold fusion will be discovered before we make waves in either sport.

there is nothing positive occurring in either program. we celebrate wins over purdue like they matter.
