I guess it depends on what you use Facebook for. Zuck is my age, and my wife and I were in college way back when he invented the thing and it was college students only for a time. Back then we used it to chat with friends and peacock about the weird things we were doing or liked or whatever (didn't everyone put "Garden State" as their favorite movie?) before everyone had a phone to do selfies and things like Instagram hadn't been invented yet.
Eventually it became that everyone's mom and grandma was on the service. I'm old now and I still use it the way I did in college, I chat up a few friends and check out a few photos.
But apparently most of the world thinks its a valid primary news platform, or at least should be one. Politically it can be useful for ads and/or organizing a ground game, but ABC Nightly News it is not.
I don't spend much time on it, i can swipe through my friends posts in a handful of seconds and move on with my life. But again, people seem to live and die on that platform for whatever reason to fulfill all their daily needs.
