that’s been my issue. We have seen improvements on the Oline, Dline, RB, and almost all over the place but at WR, that’s when things change. Outside Wan’dale Robinson, the rest of our WRs haven’t been able to do anything or get anything going. Like a few pointed out, hopefully it’s just because we kept things vanilla against one of the best teams in the country.

This NW game, there isn’t any reason why we don’t open it up and let our offense loose. We should see our best play makers on the field and making plays, period. We have some legit weapons in Martinez, McCaffrey, Wan’dale Robinson and even Ronald Thompkins is looking good in his limited reps. Let’s those boys loose and let’s see what happens. I have feeling we have a few other weapons that haven’t been let loose yet....GBR

Edited: ok I’m done on this subject. I’m as frustrated as anyone else when it comes to our WR production or lack there of... I’ll gladly wait and see how they look this weekend vs a stout NW defense. They won’t let us have an easy day running the ball. So we will have no choice but to spread them out and make some passes. Similar to our game plans vs Wisconsin’s defenses the last 2 years.
We’re harping on the WR’s but QB’s also need to be decisive and deliver the ball.

Kinda wish he hadn't announced he was playing

I wish we didn't have 759 fans who ask players questions on social media. I'm guessing he's tired of getting asked.

But yes, he is playing this weekend. I think that's been clear for a week.

Lubick will likely confirm it today.

What do you mean by that?

I just mean that he hasn't been on the practice field much and needs to get up to speed as well as seems like he may have some injury or personal issues he is dealing with. Things sounded good, but I won't have my hopes up until I actual see the kid on the field performing.

well, I do have to say, I feel much better about our QBs this year so far compared to last year. Martinez appears to have shaken his sophomore slump and Luke McCaffrey hit to ground running in game 1....even literally. If Kade Warner makes that catch in the end zone, Adrain Martinez goes for 13 of 15 and McCaffrey goes for 4 of 5 in the OSU game, that’s 17 of 20 for the game. I don’t expect to see the same mistakes this year like we did last year. So there is that....

And to no surprise, Adrian does not check his receivers and throws it to the slow tight end for 3 yards with 15 to go. Low IQ and no sense of urgency with AMart.

We are in no position to have complete players that are great in every aspect. 85 may be a hell of guy and be the hardest worker on the team but he will never dream of being as good a football player as Omar manning. A good coach is a manager of personalities and can get his best 11 on the field. Some kids are jackasses and make it hard but the great coaches get them on the field. Blocking? Was OSU worried about skinny number #5 blocking or just that he is explosive and needs the ball!
