The timing of this release is perfect. It’s a friendly reminder to the younger fan base of who the real goat is, and it’s not LeBron.

Watching this I realized the Bad Boys Pistons would have fouled out of every game in the 1st qtr in today’s NBA. No need to flop against those guys.

It’s just too bad that it’s Ok to cuss like a sailor on regular TV now. Don’t know when that happened?? I have younger kids and can’t even have ESPN on because of the language. Seemed like every other word was an F Bomb last night.

It is not regular tv, it’s cable tv. The standards people ****** it up awhile ago but paid tv doesn’t have to bow down to your beliefs. They put a child friendly version on espn2 for you sissies.

I keep telling any lebron GOAT arguer that Jordan would have scored 30 a night in free throws or layups in the modern NBA because nobody can lay a hand on him unlike when he played. Hed get another 10 from his fade and random 3 pointer. Plus he actually played defense.

It doesn't bother me. Cuss words are part of life. I've got small children and I try to teach lessons not to use them, but is what it is. I'm really enjoying the Last Dance and I think they language is part of it. That is what goes on in sports and in the real world. I don't want to hear the toned down version. Give me the raw feelings.

I think you hit it right in with this statement... for me with my kids I definitely try to teach them to not use swear words, but it’s not like they haven’t heard those words before, and in case you all forgot about being kids, most kids use that language behind their parents backs anyways.. don’t sit there and try to shelter from everything, try to teach them to be responsible so when you’re not around they understand and are responsible.

Not exactly new ground they're covering. So far, they mostly could have just said read Sam Smith's book - it's way better.

Then you could maybe compare Larry and Magic to Luka Doncic, who is apparently the next greatest thing.

The attention span/memory of sports fans is something else these days. Once the Dallas Mavericks finally won a title, EVERYBODY on espn and the like all of a sudden wanted to put Dirk Nowitski in the top 10 all time...I **** you not!

Lebron is right up there but MJ is definitely the GOAT in my mind. LBJ is also a very good defender.

It's the killer instinct and the ability to just take over in huge moments when everyone knew the ball was coming to him that sets Jordan apart. He had no off switch, you were going to get 100% every single time.

I forgot how often he would just lose his man then go into a double team in the paint, and in the middle of all 3 defenders just invent some new kind of layup nobody has ever seen before.

did they explain honestly why he stepped away for 2 years?
im guessing probably not.
He's never going to tell the real story on that. The rumors I've heard largely center around gambling as Jordan was a notorious gambling addict.

His father was also murdered about that same time. I've seen conspiracy theories that tie that murder to gambling debts, the mafia, God knows what. The official story is that they killed him in an armed robbery/carjacking.

As with any public mystery there are a lot of theories on it and some of them are totally nuts.

I might be the only person on the planet who had no trouble believing Jordan was just tired of the grind and after 3 titles, felt like he deserved a break to chase his dream of trying to play two professional sports at a high level, something a super motivated and competitive guy like him would want.

may be.
i just think if you're going to do a 'tell all' or whatever, then 'tell all'.
otherwise, its a soft marketing piece.

Maybe instead of acting like an insider, just accept what they present.

What really happened? And how do you know? Were you there?

The old footage of Phil Jackson as a player and young coach is fantastic.

The mayor of the Puerto Rico town where he coached shot somebody due to the bad blood. His punishment? He couldn't attend homegames for the rest of the season.

Most people are visual learners and I don't mean using their vision to read a book. They like being entertained.

LBJ is a horrible defensive player...and I’m a huge Lakers fan.

I guess he’s not James Harden, but he’s bad...like real bad.

Lebron is at best average defensively and has to be motivated by someone else to be that good.

That's a bit hyperbolic. Yeah he sucked last year with a torn groin. But he's been first team all defensive team numerous times. His advanced metrics show he's still around the top 20 in defensive metrics. 13th all time in steals. Most post season steals. 15th all time in playoff blocks. Had maybe the greatest block in post season history on Iguadala.
