Nice. Just like being there. Now I just have to figure out how to get a cold Runza and maybe zoom in a couple blue hairs to yell at me to sit down during the game.

They should just keep running the simulations until the season starts. Why stop at one?

What about running 1995 vs. 1997? 1994 vs 1999? 1971 vs 1983? 2004 vs 2017?

Maybe Avante Dickerson will watch and reconsider his commitment to Gopherville. After all, it is virtual. ;)

Careful. Pelini might have won more games running the Rex-cat than Frost has so far.

Crouch likes his guns. I would like to see him run the option, already.

The rosters for this game gave me a few depressing thoughts

1) we haven’t had many good receivers in the schools history. Rodgers and Fryar is all we got. When you put a Kenny Bell on the “all time roster” that tells you something. Put it this way, Neil Smith, a first team AA his SR and 3rd overall pick in the draft didn’t make the team or at least the starting lineup, compare him to Kenny Bell. If there was a WAR stat in football, Smith vs Bell would be laughable

2) not too many guys post 2001 really belong on the team but are. Obviously Suh does. But some of the guys they put on there are tokens to even things out. Amer is a good back but he’s not as good or better than a lot of backs that have came thru the program. LP is obviously better and so were a handful more

Matt Herrian over Johnny Mitchell was a head scratcher.

Sheldon Jackson over Reed, maybe not over Johnny, but I guess we can't have the entire 1995-1997 roster on there.
That would be a fun proposition, though: 1995 Nebraska vs. the best players from all of the other Nebraska teams.

Kind of like the MLB a few years ago when KC fans tried to get their entire starting roster voted onto the AL All-Star team, and would have likely been crushed by the NL All-Stars.

I do agree on Sheldon Jackson over Kyler Reed. He at least had a few years in the NFL and was amazing (even as an afterthought) in college. Maybe even throw Tracey Wistrom in there.

Johnny was class of 92. First round draft pick. But I get your point, can’t just load up on 90’s guys, have to throw 2000’s a bone.

Oh yes, I was not implying Mitchell played during that dynasty, but we already had Frazier, Green, Makovicka, Wiegert (I know, 94 not 95), and whomever else on offense alone. I like saluno's idea, no reason they can't do this again soon, have current and/or former players controlling the games, compete in a tournament with an all-'95 team vs "the rest", etc. etc. however many different roster combos we want to throw out there.

Mitchell was built for a position that hadn’t been invented during his playing time. In today’s world Johnny is a monster

Herrian is probably the best TE in school history if not for the injury. Sorta like a lot of people think Dubose wins a Heisman if he’s not injured

Which D lineman got in? Have some good options. Suh, Crick, Wistrom, Carriker, Peters, Glover, Jacobson, maybe even a Gregory.
