I think we are missing out on a very important discussion that has not been brought up in this thread. How much would An Ohio State University be winning right now if they had Joe Burrow starting at QB? Makes you think.

Ohio State opens the third quarter for 7. Can Wisconsin keep it close from here on out or will the Bucks start to dominate the second half?

You're an old Big 8 guy and you are able to root for Oklahoma??
I think there is still a lot of respect for the old Big-8 Nebraska vs Oklahoma rivalry between both fan bases. When the Big-12 was formed it was never the same.

With that said, I never liked Oklahoma (Big-8 or Big-12). I didn’t hate OU as much as I hated Texas though. I don’t hate any team or their fans in the Big-10 as much as I hate Wisconsin. Iowa is starting to get there now also.

It does make you think. What would Joe Burrows do?

Another possession by the Bucks, another score. Wisconsin better get something going, we've seen this show a lot in college football this year, lose all momentum after a great first half.

Ohio State woke up and are now on the cusp of blowing this up. Wisky can’t hang with the big boys for 4 qtrs.

The game is so sterile these days. Did you catch the ending? Everything is produced, including the celebrations. Truly becoming the NFL Lite league I predicted years ago.

I hope Ohio State is going for style points tonight and really lays it on Wisconsin. A 62-14 drubbing of the cocky Badgers would be pretty awesome in fact!
A closer game than I expected but still an illustration of what happens when a good team plays and Elite team. Wisconsin was pretty full of themselves the first half and then back to reality! But you can’t argue with Badger fans. Their team is greatest ever! Laughing

Ohio state is not even in the same league as Clemson. And they both haven't played anyone. However, Clemson will win it all and have 3 wins in 4 years. Sound familiar? Coaching. Everything else, Husker wise, is a lame excuse.

I hope this was a joke.

Kind of a joke. However, Clemson would have handled an overrated Wisconsin team with ease and would not have struggled. Just my two-cents. Virginia and Wisconsin is a toss-up.

Of course. How old are you? Old enough to remember our days in the Big 8? OU vs. Nebraska was one of the top four rivalries in college football. Right up there with Michigan/Ohio State, Alabama/Auburn and Texas/OU. But what made our rivalry with OU different from all the others is the respect the two programs had for each other. OU fans and Nebraska fans respected each other and genuinely liked each other. It was sportsmanship at a high level. I miss that rivalry and all it meant. And I still harbor in my heart a respect for OU.

It’s tough to beat the same team twice in a season. Remember when we played Wisconsin the second time in the B1G championship?

A lot of people say that Ryan Day is basically doing this with Urban's players but that OSU staff makes some great adjustments - game after game - at halftime. Almost all of them came form the NFL - that's a heck of a staff. Down 21-7, they didn't panic and came out firing on all cylinders on the 1st drive of the 2nd half. Take a look at Day's 2020 and 2021 recruiting classes - OSU isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

With all of this said, give the Wisky credit. Their staff did a heck of a job preparing for OSU. Gave OSU everything it could handle - at least in the 1st half. That's also a heck of a coaching staff

That's BS if you think the Bucks aren't in the same league. Just your hate coming out.

I've been to plenty of Nebraska/OU games. I hated OU with a passion. I never rooted for OU. It was the best rivalry in college football and the B12 ruined it.

I think hate in College Football is a good thing and I’m not afraid to say it. I hated Sooner Magic also in The Big-8. I hated Texas and Colorado’s team and fans even more in the Big-12. Missouri fans were awful as well. KSU fans were pretty annoying at times but I had a ton of respect for Coach Bill Snyder. Same with Bob Stoops.

Since joining the Big-10 I only hate Wisconsin since they were the first Big-10 team we played and we've only beaten them once. Their players and fans are so cocky too. Iowa fans are starting to be that way now that they have our number.

Many will disagree but none of this fake niceness stuff. Embrace old fashioned hate in College Football.

Yeah I laugh when people tell me I should root for Big Ten teams in bowl games or when they play out of conference. I've despised Penn State since their days as an independent, and Ohio State since before I could walk - why on Earth would I pull for them now?

Cannot stand Wisconsin either, but that's a more recent thing. Started with Bret Bielema and has lingered due to certain members of their basketball team.

While I respect the OU football program, I still get an instinctive gag reaction every time I hear the Boomer Sooner song, never shed a tear when they lose, and get a chuckle every time the Sooner Schooner crashes.
