Very good sir. I sure hope so!
Offense largely had its way with Minnesota's defense last year. If we can field a couple guys at a time in the backfield with two good legs and who know where they're going we might just score points on them.

That sounds just fine to me sir! Gimme a running game and I'm a happy camper.

No, sadly I haven't watched UCF at all. My bad! That sure makes sense that the vertical passing game pretty much has to be there. Or at least the running game is working.

Hmmmm.....maybe why SF keeps trying is out of desperation as what other options are there? Very good oldjar07......thank you sir!!
The horizontal passing game is a big part of Frost's offense and is not going to go away. We need to execute a lot better for it to work like it's supposed to. The receivers need to block a lot better on the perimeter. AM needs to read the defense better and either check out of the play if they're playing up on the screen or do something else with the ball besides throw it to a receiver who's going to lose yards on the play.

Those are good points. The big difference this year with what he ran at UCF is the vertical passing game portion. He ran pretty much the same plays he is running now, but without a credible deep threat and a credible threat of the QB running, defenses are simply packing the box and playing tighter man or zone near the LOS.

Have been wondering if the absence of Kade on the field has hurt WR perimeter blocking.

It's not like Kade is the Rimington of receiver blocking. All of our receivers should be able to block as well as KW did.
