See, you did it again. Call it sensitive or what ever you want. But when you word like that, like a weak attack towards me...I’m going to defend myself. Even more so when YOUR WRONG. I didn’t post anything like what you mentioned before. This is only time I mentioned Callahan and Munson picking the Huskers with Johnson. So forgive me Tuco, your memory is off. I was more then fine letting things go...but then you do the whole attack thing AGAIN...and then it just flares me up. Dam dude...just drop it. You where wrong. Me and a Badger fan had issue about Hutmacher and it’s the same Badger fan in this thread. It had nothing to do Kaden Johnson. M Reed and Hutmacher was mentioned.
Calm down.
Sometimes you go a little overboard.

Another thread titled Kaden Johnson you wrote this,

Actually looks to be dead even battle between Minnesota and Wisconsin, with the Huskers trying to sneak in and grab him. Plus side is, since the camp and the barbecue happened, it appears the Huskers have definitely gotten his attention. And his parents and him all seem to love B Ruud. Let’s see how his official goes and where he sets after that. Then I also heard it’s far from over with Malik Reed. From what I’m hearing the Huskers are still in on him and could end up flipping him down the road. If we can pull of a 8-4 or even 9-3 season and finish in the top 25...that will help us gain a lot of traction on some players that where close calls.

I can only assume that you based your opinion on the dead even battle between Minnesota and Wisconsin on the Crystal Balls that were 1 for each of them.

To which I replied

I don't know that anyone can say Johnson is anything but wide open. He has two Crystal Balls, 1 for Wisconsin and 1 for Minnesota. Not surprisingly, the Wisconsin writer has one for Wisconsin and the Minnesota writer has one for Minnesota.

He is going to take his visits, he has 4 left, after taking one to Wisconsin. I will say he visits Nebraska, Minnesota, Michigan St, and Oregon St, and if not Oregon St, California.

Someone else later stated that the Callahan also gave his predictions, to the Huskers. After looking that up, I wrote that 4 writers all giving predictions to the schools they cover. Like I said nothing has changed.

Again, it wasn't an attack on you, it was me remembering that you wrote something very similar about Johnson in the past and me responding similarly to how I replied today.

As far as I can tell, his recruitment is wide open. He talks to people, tells them what they want to hear and goes on about his business. In other articles about Johnson, some of which are behind a pay wall, he has said he is taking all 5 visits. I shared a little bit of that in my post several weeks ago.

I apologize if you felt attacked. I was simply remembering a similar conversation in which you were involved.

I see the whole thing as wide open as well
Articles I’ve read indicate that KJ isn’t making a decision any time soon.
This will all take a while to get sorted out, a lot of time for a top priority like KJ to do whatever is best for him. Anybody seen his film yet?
Reminds me of Sean Fisher with more agility/quick twitch
Should project well to OLB I would think

I have inside knowledge Kaden Johnson will be N.

... and by “inside knowledge” I mean that I made it up in my head and will will it to happen.

I think we most definitely stand a chance, and boy could we use Kaden, Devyn Curtis and Choe Bryant-Strother to really bring this class back to being what it should be.

I noticed that, but I think the wiscy guy chose wiscy after the visit, and the minny guy voted for minny. Only 2 people have given CBS, and you would expect each homer to pick their own team.
Just like the Homer's on this board????

Dude, get off your high horse, and reach out and see if can catch reality. You are a husker homer, we all get it. Tuco just points out thing that happen in the real world. Reality...

I also read that he was really impressed with the fan support... that bodes well. Not sure what Minnesota or Wisconsin spring game attendance was, but I’m pretty sure we beat it.

By a lot.
Have you ever been to a game in Minnesota? I have and I doubt I'll ever go back!

I took a charter bus full of friends to the Minnesota game a while back. We hit the town the night before, tailgated before the game, and stuck around for a while after the game. The part that disappointed me was that Minnesotans kept asking why we were all there. Why were we wearing red. Who were we coming to watch play. Then we get to the game and its half full and we outnumbered the Gopher fans like we were playing in Lincoln.

If someone really wants to experience being part of a big time football program where the program feels relevant even during its worst years then pick the Huskers. If not NU, avoid the Gophers at all cost.

Recruiting comes down to this, you get who you get, and you don't get who you don't get. When the chips fall on LOI day (and early signing days), we'll see who Nebraska got and who they didn't.

I don't pay much attention to recruiting unless Nebraska gets a commit or when the class is all signed up, it's not worth getting too worked up about, right?

Minnesota moved their game indoors due to weather, attendance was 0.
Fun fact: Fleck turned it a trophy game, the Goldy Cup to the winning team.

Wisky didn't even have a spring game, just an open practice. It sounds like they're lucky if can bring in over 10,000.

My issue was he was calling me out on something I DID NOT DO. We had a Badger fan come telling us how they didn’t want Hutmacher once he committed to our Huskers and I called the Badger fan out on it and Tuco is trying to claim I was talking about Kaden Johnson then like I was now. It was just simply wrong. How would you like it if someone goes out of his way...picks you and then busts your balls? And then claims you did something you wasn’t doing? Husker fan or Badger fan...I don’t think it matters what team your fan of...most won’t like it. And yes sir...I’m Husker fan through and through. Not ashamed or embarrassed to say it.

Agreed, I do. I got annoyed Tuco jump on my back when all I was doing was proving to a Badger fan our Huskers where indeed in on Johnson. It’s one thing to call me out something I done...I can handle that. It’s when he’s claiming I did something I haven’t done. But your right, I need to take a chill pill.

I don’t think he’s trying to call you out, I thinks this is a misunderstanding. Nobody’s wrong and he apologized. Water under bridge.

Kirk's riding out the last couple years of his lifetime contract, and NU is hitting local recruiting in a big way. No team may be more affected by these turn of events than Iowa, which can ill afford to lose more battles in Midwest recruiting. I have no idea whether Iowa is after this particular player or not, but just speaking generally.

Kirk Ferentz is 64, as of August 1st.

Couple years?

It happens. I’d rather have you here and overzealous than some of the Debbie downers we have, every day of the week and twice on Sundays. You’re good.

Tell that to Sean Callahan and Bryan Munson. They both have him picked as a Husker. There’s even an article on Kaden Johnson wanting to visit the Huskers officially...so Huskers are very much in the picture.
didn't he come down to that bbq on an unofficial?

that's been my philosophy. it can be interesting, but, when all is said and done, it's out of my control, so, we get who we get

Enough of the Iowa fanbase is worried about he coronation of Brian ferentz that the end is close enough to mention. Certainly after 20 years and being 64 he's at the tail end of his career

Wow, when did 64 become that young. How old was Hayden Fry, Dr. Tom Osborne (26 years at Nebraska) and others.

The point is "couple years" is not likely. And, his son isn't seasoned enough for the job. Phil Parker would be a better choice and he isn't likely going to be a head coach.

Kaden Johnson now has his official visit set up for the Huskers. No more “Oh he is only thinking about OV with other teams” by Vadger fans. Now it’s time to blow the young man away and steal him like we did Nick Henrichs last year. Kaden Johnson recruitment is far from over....GBR

9-27-2019 is his official visit to the Huskers with his family. I think (my opinion) he’s seen how thin we are at LB and the early playing time we offer. He’s been all Minnesota and Wisconsin....then he came for unofficial visit during the Husker BBQ...now he’s officially visiting...GBR

Laughing I mean it was true, but like I said if you actually get a visit that changes things. Kudos to you guys for getting an OV, you're certainly in the race.

So your issue is a few weeks ago I mentioned Sean callahan and Brain Munson picked the Huskers and I’m now repeating it to a Badger fan that thought the Huskers had no play on Kaden Johnson as way to show him he may be wrong?
We are both Husker fans...I say let’s get on the same side. I’m not against you or anything like that. I’m just a huge Husker fan that likes to share my opinions and thoughts. I may be wrong at time and I may be right at times....and I definitely get extreme at times. I’m just a passionate Husker fan. That’s all it is;)
It took me awhile, but I have figured out Tuco is a guy who likes to to argue for the sake of arguing. He is the type of person if someone said the sky is blue he would turn it into an argument saying, "well actually the sky isn't always blue, sometimes it can be many different shades of blue, pink orange, purple, red, green, black. " He very well could agree with someone, but he will still find a way to turn it into an argument/ discussion. He also loves getting the last word in, for any discussion or conversation.

When people keep responding to his endless drivel he eats it up. I could be way wrong, while his endless arguing is very annoying I don't think he means any disrespect or intends it to be personal. Although much of the time that is the way he comes across. I have put him on block just because I got tired of reading all his arguing with me and everyone else.

Well, you are not paying very good attention. Tuco has called me out with facts/data on some things I have said on here.

Yes, it's a message board and we can all have opinions but when evidence is presented to the contrary of an opinion or it is challenged, that doesn't make him or anyone else a bad guy. When you post, you better we ready and willing to back it up instead of getting the panties in a wad. The usual answer to a call out is to resort to labeling and name calling, a typical grade school tactic.

Not defending, don't know the guy but get a reality check. Oh and I this is my opinion and I could very well be incorrect as I often am.
