We have 2 top flight coaches.

We are finally going to get answers to the questions of whether Nebraska football can be nationally relevant again and if Nebraska basketball can be a consistent NCAA tourney team. The narrative in the recent past has always been that inferior coaching has held these programs back.

We are going to find out if it is us (the university) or them (coaching) that has led to the downtrodden programs that the university has been running out there

A month ago I would not have believed Moos (or any other AD) could pull this off. Just a huge hire.

He's from Lincoln. I don't think this is as far fetched as many on here claim. I'm just glad that he was interested in the position. Now, if he can get some blue chippers to join him in turning this program around we can finally get that win in the dance.

That’s no ****...oops... But for real, Moos knows what he’s doing. I’m glad we got the man. I just hope some of our fans WILL give Hoiberg some time to turn this thing. We may have it rough next season with players like Allen leaving (he indeed leaves). And we haven’t heard yet on Roby. Give Hoiberg a couple years to get players going and build connections.

I fully expect this to take a few years to be relevant but I am so looking forward to an actual watchable offensive style of play. None of this slow pace and clueless offensive identity.

That's no chit.

Season ended around 11:00 Sunday night.
Miles fired Tuesday.
Hoiberg deal finalized about noon on Saturday.

Less than a week. It doesn't get any better than that.
After reading this board and a few newspaper articles you would think it was total anarchy in Lincoln. Bunch of sky is falling chicken littles need to take a pill, hit a bong or have a drink or 10 and chill the f out.Smokin

And as for that "stain" or "stench" or whatever the Hell it was supposed to be, per the Miles die-hards - Poof! Gone.
Were there Miles "die hards"? Man there weren't many from my perspective. There were some of us that supported the guy for a long time but I don't know of anybody who was all that upset at the thought of Moos firing him. Hoiberg appears to be a tremendous hire. I'm hoping he gets the 5-6 years to build something before negativity starts in on him. I've always been a big Hoiberg fan from his time at ISU to his time with the T Wolves. Good guy. Good coach.

Tim Miles was still a better hire for Basketball than Jack Benny Riley was for our Football program..

Poor guy just couldn’t find himself a good center especially with Roby..

I thought this was pretty much a given . At least that is what is announced with every new coach that is hired . What questions could there be?
