I really like him and wish it could have worked out better. I appreciate the job he did and he did bring us some fun times and got us to at least believe. But only 1 NCAA tournament bid in 7 seasons should not cut it at any major conference school. Everything was set up this year for a nice run, and it didn't happen. It was time to make a change.

Tim Miles is a great guy and was a fantastic representative for the University of Nebraska. The way he handled himself throughout all the speculation (outside of one poorly timed attempt at humor) was very, very impressive.

Thank you for everything coach Miles - you'll always be a true Husker in my book.

There were a couple of times where I thought he was going to get it done - as recently as January 15th of this year. In the end, he just couldn’t exorcise the program’s demons.

On to the next guy.

Always hate to see someone lose their job, and he was a likeable guy. I'll miss him as an interview, but won't miss his offenses.

Fantastic guy as I've met him once and heard great things about his personality and his upbringing in small-town South Dakota. Source: Old high school teacher of mine who is from his hometown.

Doubt you will ever see this, but good luck Coach Miles! I will never forget no-sit Sunday! You had extremely minimal, if any, off the court incidents player-wise. I hope you can lead young men in this business again soon!

Thanks Coach. We had some fun times during his tenure, but couldn’t get over the hump. As always, the wisdom of the change will be determined by the success of the next guy.

Hmmm, I thought the best thing he did was make that joke about money. I think it pissed people off because it is true but I won't get mad at a guy for being honest.

Lol when Tim takes another program to the dance within 3 years our fans just think having a nice arena is the key to a good CB team

He took us to the dance within 2 years, got blown out, and could never make it back because his teams generally caved under pressure and adversity, and a lot of talented players transferred out. If Terran Petteway hadn't played out of his mind for a month in 2014, Tim would have been canned a long time ago.

He's a nice guy, but there's not a single person with any knowledge of basketball who would hire Tim Miles over Fred Hoiberg.

I will be shocked if it is with a team in any Power 5 conference. Of course, he could do it with a South Dakota State type team in that type of conference.

It's the right decision to move on. He had 7 years here and he has been a head coach since 1995. Didn't get the results that the university of nebraska, fans, players and coaches wanted.

I think his statement was class, and wish him well. Looks like, on the surface anyway, that it's a peaceful parting of the ways.

It's tough to get fired. I m pretty sure this is the first time he' been let go.

It didn't anger me. It took it as coming from a guy who knows how fortunate he is compared to other people. In my book he is a total class act.

It was a poor choice on his part, but it is the truth. He's essentially set for life, regardless of where he goes.
