Cliffs for those of us who don’t subscribe?

Edit: I guess the caption says it all.

Scott Frost adopted an Oregon high school student in the foster care system who was about to be sent to Washington. “That’s probably the best thing I’ve done,” he said. “I’m happy to say he graduated from the University of Oregon.”

I wasn't insinuating that we have a right to know this....what I meant was I was surprised that some sports writer had not blabbed this information out to the Frost-hungry masses.

It did not surprise me at all that Scott Frost would do this....that is exactly the kind of man I thought he is.

The biggest takeaway from the article is Scott's emphasis on the need for mentors -
--------------------------------------------------------
That’s why it’s important to me to come and do things like this, because every single coach, every single teacher, every single neighbor who can take time for one of these kids can be that person in one of these kids’ lives. Every single person who signs up for Coach Osborne’s TeamMates can be that person in one of these kids’ lives.

“Any program like this, in a church or any group, is so needed because we’re living in an age of Twitter and Snapchat and MTV and radio and videos and movies and Hollywood, and that’s the wrong place to learn your values. You people are the right place to learn them.”
--------------------------------------------------------------

Glad to see Scott walks the talk, and I would encourage others on this board who are able to do so to get involved in a mentoring program. Another quote from Frost-

“If you think you don’t have enough time, you have enough time, because they don’t need all your time. They just need someone who’s there for them; if they’re in trouble, you’re there. If they need advice, you’re there. That’s all these kids need. They need to know somebody cares.
