Because they DIDNT know specifics, nor could they have.

You seem set on making Frost and the athletic dept look like dark villians who dont care what their players do.
Replace plausible deniability with actual deniability as well.
There was no warrant for his arrest in the fall, or a court order to appear, etc. While investigations are going on, especially in regards to minors, authorities arent supposed to volunteer information to people like frost, who are essentially meaningless to the law here. They arent lawyers. There are legal and also procedural reasons not to.
And lets not pretend that when the athletic dept heard washington was being investigated by authorities, that they were supposed to immediately ask, "Is it for child porn? Will you tell us if he sent a revenge video to his minor ex?" That would be absurd.
This seems like an extreme, and biased, example of 20/20 on your part.

Of course, if it comes out, further than he said/she said or what you personally believe, that frost did know all of this and did know that he actually did it I will take this back.

(But even then, what can he do that satisfies the press when he cant give information out about an investigation...but i digress, doesnt matter).

Has your opinion changed?

Great debate is...are/were the Talking Heads amazing and genius or were they really just another band. I could really support both sides.

I would be of the same opinion. Actually I would probably fall on the side of them being a pretty average band in terms of their music, but probably more impactful in terms of their impact on the direction of music.

Seems like a lot more conjecture to assume Frost knew or should have known, considering authorities themselves would have had no reason to tell him the details. Just saying.
Good day to you sir.
When the university was notified it would make sense that they (the university) would then have notified Frost. I would have trouble believing that Frost wouldn't learn more about the situation (given the seriousness) from anyone whether that be the university or Mo himself.

There are some on here who only know how to attack. They don't know how to have a grown up conversation with people who view things differently. That is society now days. If you don't agree with something someone thinks or believes, attack them, belittle them by any mean necessary. Thankfully most on here know how to act mature and have an adult discussion on topics they disagree on.

I have grownup conversations with people whose thought process aligns itself with grownups. Here is where your thought process derailed in this thread; when you thought it was OK to make light of an individual that broke a couple of laws as they pertain to the treatment of women.

Additionally, the line about him rushing for 1,500 yards next year was also not only in very poor taste, given the situation he has created for himself and the University, but is also very premature thinking.

Yes another poll and 20+ page thread!!

Never had these problems under Riley.

Before anyone freaks out I'm joking and in no way should Frost be in trouble in any way on this.

If he knew that Mo was facing child porn charges, he should get a free pass for letting Mo play the entire season? How does that work?

Everybody screaming for Mo to be kicked off the team should be screaming for Frost to be gone as well.

Let’s pause here a bit, the lawyer who is mentioned does not appear to be an employee of the University that I can tell, he claims he never represented himself as such either.

Here is an article from a larger news outlet

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wa...85a31c-2fef-11e9-8781-763619f12cb4_story.html

Bruning said he represented only Washington. In an email to AP, Bruning wrote, “First, I’ve never represented the University of Nebraska as legal counsel, and I’ve never held myself out as doing so. Second, I did not share the search warrant with anyone at the university. My sense is that it was protected by attorney-client privilege.”

So who would be representing Vaughn or at a minimum getting legal advice from. Does he not count as a representative of the university?

A referral doesn’t mean that you are representing someone, and I am not sure that the University was obligated to do anything other than suggest to Washington that he gets a lawyer and maybe even recommends one. The incident didn’t happen while he was a student, IANAL and am arguing law against perception of right and wrong.

Yes I would be shocked if he didn't go and talk to Mo. Maybe Mo told him he knew nothing about it. Frost believed him and left it at that. Maybe Mo told him the truth but since no charges had been filed they let it go to see what happened with the legal system first. Innocent until proven guilty after all. In this case not even charged yet.

Guys...the staff knew. You don't just find out the cops want to talk to one of your guys and not take an interest in why.

They are botching the hell out of this thing. It looks bad enough on its own without them getting caught trying to bury it.

Not entirely...what evidence do you have that frost knew the details of the allegations? Or Moos?
Honest questions.
I still think youre being a tad rash.
No one here is going to have any evidence that Frost knew, but it's an undeniable fact that the university knew sometime in the fall. Do you believe they (the university) didn't tell Frost about it? And if not, do you believe Frost didn't inquire more info on the serious situation once he found out?

I don't think Frost deserves to be fired or even be punished at all if he knew about this from the beginning (if everything about Mo ends up being true).

I have done some more looking into this. From what I understand. If anyone of any age is caught with sexually explicit pictures of anyone under 18. Technically They could be charged with Possession of Child Porn. Im assuming if the person with it is over 18 that charges are file more frequently than those who are younger. I thought the person had to be over 18 to be charged. So in theory if a girl is a day away from turning 18, sends her 17 year old BF a her butt pic and he is caught with in on his phone. He could be charged with possession of child porn.
And in this instance the 17yr old would still be labeled a sex offender!

Sheesh!

Frost didn't do anything illegal.

If he didn't talk to Mo about it after the university was informed, then he was in the wrong. If he talked to Mo, and Mo told him what happened and he didn't take any action and let Mo play the rest of the season, then he was in the wrong.

The only way Frost isn't in the wrong here is if Mo denied everything. It doesn't matter if it was illegal or not.

Why? That doesn't make any sense.
Why would he? MW wasn’t even charged with anything. I don’t get the premise that the coach would be responsible in a case like this. He knew MW was being investigated for something, sending an inappropriate text, so he should have kicked him off the team? Even if he was never charged with anything? Even if it turned out to be a false accusation? I understand wanting MW to be held accountable table, but the lynch mob coming after Frost now?? Wow, that seems extreme.

What does it mean by "the university knew"? Spell it out. Literally. If you beat around the bush on this question, it means you dont know anything "for a fact."

Also, if Frost knew, which I still very much doubt he knew the details or seriousness, especially since it was an investigation at the time and not an actual arrest/summoning/court order....

What the hell is he supposed to do? Break the attorney/client confidentiality and blow the lid off the entire investigation, even though no one at the time, including the invesigators, knew what would come of it?

Is he supposed to say "we are suspending MW because authorities want him to voluntarily answer questions about a case hes not even curently being charged for, or even summoned for questioning by a court for. Oh and dont ask what its about as details arent supposed to be spilled here."

Its insane.

I dont believe @SC_'sker means right at this moment. He means IF Washington is found guilty and IF Frost knew about the incident, talked to Washington, Washington confirmed it was true and Frost didn't kick him off the team or suspended him
