I don't know. Barely beating an unranked team that just lost to a bad Creighton team is not exactly what I call a monumental accomplishment. But the Texas Tech blowout loss was inexcusable for a team with this much experience. Only Miles could lose that badly with this talent. Lots of expectations this season and tonight was a requirement, not a glorious accomplishment. Jury is still out..

Iowa is most overvalued team in the country right now.

Good win, but let's see how we do in conference play. The Big Ten is loaded this year - 8 of the Top 20 in the NET Rankings are Big Ten teams. Clemson is 51st in NET rankings and Seton Hall is 85th.

Clemson was still ranked last week. It's a good road win that this team really needed.

Point to one thing in my post you disagree with.
"Texas Tech blowout was inexcusable for a team with this much experience". First Tech has a helluva team and I've heard some people project they'll have 2 first rounders in the NBA draft this year. Blowouts happen on the road especially. Losing big on the road to a team like Tech is not "inexcusable". Second we've got some guys playing quite a few minutes who have very little experience. Carry on. I'm sure you'll find some more negativity to dredge up from your bowels.

The jury will always be out with any coach we would have if we're honest.

I like Miles as an entertaining interview, just not convinced he's a good coach. He does seem to get some talent in the program just not enough to have any depth. I don't trust him to make the tournament this year.

Tech lost all but one starter off of last yrs final 8 team. So if their coach is that good at replsnishing the cupbaord that fast and drilling an upperclass NU team that easily.

I would pay any amount of money to bring Techs coach in to NU to replace TM after this yr.

Thanks for helping me make that argument.

I love that some people still don't get it...when the team you like wins...you are happy. When they lose...you are not happy.

NU won tonight...so people won't ***** as much
Had they lost...people would be bitching.

I met Tim during his first year at CSU, and I've liked him as a person since then. I've rooted for him as a person and as the coach of my university's basketball program. I am ecstatic about the win last night.

That written, I am very cautiously optimistic about this season. The reason being the strength of the Big Ten. As of the last AP poll, there are eight conference teams either ranked ahead of Nebraska or receiving more votes than Nebraska. Creighton is also perceived to be better than Nebraska by that measure. If the perceptions of the national media are true (and I understand how wrong we often can be), then getting through the conference with even a .500 record will be an undertaking.

In short, the perceived weakness of the conference hurt us last year, when we finished fourth. Will the actual strength of the conference hurt us this year by pushing us so far down the standings that we won't get a bid?

Sounds like the perfect Nebrasketball storm. Let's hope it passes, and that this team completes its mission.

We haven’t even played a conference game and you’re already conceding that we’ll lose more than we win?

Do we really need to do this after every game? Fun win, not exactly program changing. No one's eating crow because we won by 2 against an unranked team on the road. Enjoy the season but at least wait until we win anything of significance to call people out. For the record I think this team is really fun and pretty good but I'm not gonna say I told you so after every win.

Not conceding anything. It's a fear, not a prediction. Just reliving the horrors of being a Nebrasketball fan for the past 50 years.
I was at both the Missouri State and the Texas Tech games. Although that Tech game got away from us (not sure why we kept shooting 3s) this team looks different than most Nebraska teams I've seen. Probably the best team I've seen since the team that won the Big 8 tourney under Danny Nee. I think they'll do well in the Big 10.

Kentucky must be badly coached to since they got blown out by Duke on a neutral floor as well. Tech final 8 in tourney last year lost one player they are a good team. Dinglefritz
