What is the new transfer rule and yes I would guess we will see a few. I could be wrong but have a feeling Lindsey may not be long for this team. With the new transfer rules, I think you will see alot of this. Got to wonder if we lose anyone in the next week or so.
Sorry, the new redshirt rule. I think with players being able to play 4 games and RS, we will now see alot of mid year transfers, after players have played three or four games and aren't happy with where they stand, they will just jet and take their RS season. It's already happened quite a bit around CFB.What is the new transfer rule and yes I would guess we will see a few. I could be wrong but have a feeling Lindsey may not be long for this team.
I don't remember but was Lindsey with Gebbia and part of the Calibraska thingSorry, the new redshirt rule. Yikes. What a circus. We really need to win a football game, already.Reading thread titles on RSS we had a potential star upset running back not show up to practice today.

He’s the only potential star running back I’m aware ofjust as long as it wasn't Mo Washington ... that would be a disaster

TMINate Craig-Myers left Auburn too, firmer 5-Star WR and current starter.
Is he hurt? Quite honestly...I’d be more pissed with the lack of touches. We are winning 2-4 games this year...might as well give the youngin as many live reps as possible.I’d be awfully pissed too if I had to run behind that line

You misspelled OL'sLet's get after these guys and some JUCO QB's!!!!!
TY! I will add OL's to my post! You misspelled OL's
Of course it is the student-athlete's decision, but man there are lots of 'Me' guys over 'We' guys more than ever now.
Players have more power and options now, don't blame them one bit for taking advantage of both.

I definitely understand your angle and I don't blame them either, but personally IMO I love being part of a team. But most importantly, I know my role and these players need to be told what their role will be, the truth and not sugar-coated crap.
I think a lot of kids think they can just snap their fingers and magically rely on their talent to make it to the NFL because of how good they are as told by their parents and superiors.
If it means sacrificing playing time or sacrificing a customer to let a co-worker take on a potential sale, I'll do that for the betterment of the business.
It's one thing to transfer during the offseason but to do it during the season is flat out wrong.
I think that is too simplistic. I don't know your lot in life, but the ultra successful guys I know, don't want to be role players and won't give up a customer or client to make someone else feel better.
NFL dreams stuff is something that happens, but most of the guys are just looking for a place where they can be on the field. At the collegiate level, the guys that want to be role players are typically guys who grew up dreaming of a chance to play at Nebraska or fringe guys that didn't have big time offers, not 4 star guys that came to Nebraska looking to be a starter.
If it's within the rulez, then it's right, for the kid, if that's what he wants. I'd advise mine against it, I don't like it, but who the F am I to tell somebody what they should do? You have options, you use 'em. Makes them normal.
What about the TEAM aspect, though?
I think us losing Gebbia the week of the Akron hurts us more than any one of us care to admit.
If they decide to transfer, that should count against their remaining eligibility. I don't think this rule was ever meant to allow someone to play 4 games then transfer when they didn't get their way without any repercussions. This should be a warning to the ncaa that making transfer rules easier may not be such a good idea.Sorry if this is a dumb question but if a player transfers during the season and is still able to red shirt not playing over the 4 games would that make them eligible the following season at the new school? Would this season count as there year sitting out at the new school?
