Probably Wisconsin to lose. I like our chance of knocking off Iowa on the road better than Wisconsin.

Why not both? Somehow, a category 5 F-6 tornado strikes nearby, shortly after halftime of a 0-0 lovefest between the two. The Herky mascot gets struck by lightning Bucky mascot trips and falls face-first into a bag of dicks, that some yokel from Council Bluffs threw on the field.

Both teams wait about 6 hours, before the game is finally cancelled.

Whyo_O That is like saying any Penn St fans watching the tOSU/ Michigan is a loser..

There both in our division why wouldn’t you watch this game...
Not "loser" but loser as in the person who will lose is who has to watch it. It was a sarcastic jab at what may be an ugly football game. See my other reply on the 2004 6-4 Iowa victory over PSU.

I’d take it in a heartbeat. First one to 20 wins. We will find out if Iowa’s defense is elite or fake.
I think that is the key. Wisconsin has that big line and a good run game. If Iowa can slow that down I like their chances. I hope Iowa kicks the snot out of Wisconsin. Not because I hate Wisconsin (I don't) but because they are the current beasts of the West and need to be brought down a peg or two. And since they lost to BYU last week, it would be sweet to see them lose two weeks in a row.

It was a joke! Nothing more than that... he isn’t saying it will really suck to watch that game, and anybody who does is a loser.

It was a simple joke that I found to be funny. Don’t read into it too much, but enjoy it for what it is: a jab at 2 of our conference foes.

Part of me thinks Wisky rolls Iowa.

Other part of me thinks Iowa wins a close one like 17-16.

I look forward to the game, should find out a lot about both of these future opponents.

I'm waiting to see how I feel when I get to the stadium. Part of me wants Wisconsin to lose. The other part of me doesn't want to be in Iowa City if they do.

Now that I have been living in enemy territory for the last 9 years, my perspective has changed on some things.

Whenever I watch conference foes going against each other, it is increasingly difficult for me to enjoy watching those games. Instead of picking a team and rooting for them because it might help the huskers, more often than not, I root against the team who’s fans annoy the crap out of me. Living in Minnesota, I can’t bring myself to root for them. At all. I worked with Iowa fan up here as well. I can’t root for Iowa. Even if an Iowa victory means Nebraska has a better shot at the west division crown.

This game should be a fun game to watch. But I can’t enjoy it unless Iowa loses. Even if it hurt the huskers’ chances in the West.

I need some help.

I know how you feel. Even if Nebraska was the second rated team in the nation and needed PSU to beat, say #1 OSU, I could never, ever, ever cheer for PSU. That will not happen

We won’t know anything more about Iowa’s Defense until they play Penn State. Wisconsin doesn’t appear to have a great Offense. That BYU loss took most the luster off Wisconsin. Unfortunately for Iowa’s credibility, they only play 1 of the big 4 in the East.

Indiana offense might be their first test on defense before they travel to Penn St..

Iowa still has to stop Taylor and the Badgers rushing game and you might see Hornibrook stretch the field more than they did against BYU..

I guess I don’t buy that we won’t know how good a defense/offense is after 4-7 games. You can’t fake an outstanding defense/offense for 4-7 games.

Never understood why Iowa fan tries to defend a weak schedule. Might make more sense just to accept that all Iowa can do is beat the teams on the schedule and let the chips fall where they may.

Iowa has a chance at one good win (Wisconsin) and one great win (Penn State) during regular season play. Very few outside of Iowa will be buying in until and unless Iowa wins at penn state. Remember the “fake id” season of 2015, very similar schedule.

The best part of the BYU game was watching the BYU sideline during jump around.

Definitely NOT as exciting as a 70-31 game. Also not as exciting as a 56-14 or a 40-10 game.

I want Iowa to win for the program itself but I want them to lose so I don't have to hear their fans act like they are a traditionally great program.

My goodness I don't know. I lean towards rooting for Iowa because I think it will help muddy up the division race. I think Wisconsin wins an ugly game that will be closer than the final score will indicate.. I would bet the UNDER

Who was defending a schedule? I’m talking about any team in the country. You’re gonna know how good your parts are before your 8th game, that’s all there is to it.

Iowa did hold ISU to 3 points. The backup QB scored 27 against Oklahoma so we are three games in and have some sort of baseline. NIU doesn’t have a good offense and UNI is an FCS school so we can’t tell much from those games. If Taylor rushes for 75 yards or less, I think we can say this rush defense is for real.

And they played the top three in the East last year.

Good luck against Bethune Cookman!

You're right. One emergency fill-in game against a FCS school (during a season in which our schedule was ranked 2nd most difficult in the country) balances everything out.

Iowa would play 12 Bethune-Cookmans if it could, then mint "championship" rings to celebrate going undefeated (regular season only of course).
