.1.WHAT A GREAT CROWD!
2.Akron would have helped a lot
3. Colorado not bad at all
4. Gebbia's a quitter and I'm glad i raised my boys better than that....

#2 huge and we probably win today with that game under the belt, which also sucks, on a sucky day where the "first game jitters" probably cost Nebraska the victory, which sucks.

However, this team is better than last year's version of suck, which was a complete embarassing get pushed around all over the field suck.

And Montez didn't suck at all.

Gebbia made a business decision.

Had Frost & Co handled the situation like a lot of other successful coaches, he'd probably still be here

And how should they have handled it? Lied to the kid like Nick Saban just to keep him around? I think Scott has too much integrity for that and Gebbia showed by his actions he doesn't have the character to be a Husker.

I agree good riddance. Frost didn't need to handle it any differently Gebbia got beat out and ran away like a wounded puppy unfortunately am got hurt but I think he proved why he was named the starter

this reminds me of politics....you're all so inclusive and tolerant....until someone doesn't agree with you or says something you don't like...then the pitch forks and torches come out!

it doesn't make you a bad fan to be critical of this game...and it doesn't mean you have drank the kool aid if you only see the positives either...

+’s - effort, defense, playmakers, talent is there to compete, everyone going in same direction, pass protection was stellar, grit, 1st half O was rolling! 46 plays! CU D was gassed

-‘s - turnovers were ugly, penalties, lack of depth QB’s, FG missed by freshman, dropped TD by a senior WR was huge, offense somewhat slowed in 2nd half, couldn’t keep momentum

If you're talking about the Gebbia commentary in this thread, then I disagree. People need to just stop talking about it. I get it, if we had Gebbia, it would give us a better chance to win either because he's better than Bunch or because it provides enough depth to open the full playbook rather than calling plays more conservatively to protect the QB. That discussion was beaten to death for a week. Whether Gebbia pussed out or Frost handled it poorly, nothing is changing for this season regardless of how much it is rehashed.

gebbia nor frost is the problem
1. you don't hinge your program on one teenagers decisions.
2. frost inherited a program that had no qb depth, just prima donnas. and frost did well getting martinez here
in the future Im sure frost will have the qb depth and 4 deep solid players

You mean not talented enough to be a scholarship quarterback of a power 5 college football team? Good job, you are like 99% of the other parents of the world. Gebbia exercised his right that he earned, no different than a pro ball player exploring his free agency options.
Actually, both of my boys DID/could have played college athletics, thank you, and one got beaten out by other players, thank you, so, yeah, I kind of get it....

Frost inherited a program with two 4 star QBs and one that got drafted.

I will add my thoughts to this thread instead of adding a new one.

Husker fans didn't disappoint. Memorial stadium was rocking. Perfect weather for a football game.

While the loss was disappointing, there were far more positives than negatives. Yes the turnovers stank and easily were a 14 point and likely a 21 point swing. But after we got down 14-0, THIS TEAM DID NOT GIVE UP. I am convinced IF last year's staff were hear with this team the score would be closer to 56 or 70 to 0. Not only is it a credit to the coaches, but a sign that the kids have bought into the system.

The team is hurting after the loss. That is good. I think last year they wouldn't have really felt it.

I saw passion and effort from this team. I saw improvement. Those two things is what I wanted to see this year . I expected to take some lumps this year but if I saw the team not roll over and quit, that would be an improvement.

Yes the loss hurt. But it was a good thing to be saying, "man if only this mistake or that one play had gone our way ee would have won". Unfortunately, I there were about a dozen plays. Again, not a bad thing. There is talent on this team. Colorado may not be world beaters but they're a decent team. They're weakest link was their OL.

Biggest negative of the day.... how in the world does the concession stand run out of Runzas by halftime. Two weeks in a row. During the rain delay they were out 1 hour after kickoff. Went out at half-time and they were out again. The only thing I can attribute this to is last year there was not as many people in the stands after the first qtr and those that were still there had upset stomachs and didn't feel like eating. Get with the program NU game day planners!!

Yes I am disappointed with the loss because it should/could have been a huge W. But from what I've seen, we are on the right track and great things are coming.

Comprehension must not be your strong suit. I didn't say that Frost wasn't successful, but he did mishandle the QB situation.

One thing I forgot to mention in my post above. I thought the football version of the 3 man weave was hilarious during pregame.

played college athletics

Lol yeah I could've played D3 badminton too, I said scholarship power 5 quarterback, tell me where they could have/did do that? It's a whole different world at that level. It's okay to be upset but attacking the young man is poor form. My quarrel is not really with you, it is with the people that trash Gebbia and say nothing we we get a transfer like say Tre Neal... or you know our head coach Scott Frost who was beat out at Stanford and transferred to you guessed it ̶F̶r̶a̶n̶k̶ ̶S̶t̶a̶l̶o̶n̶e̶ I mean DONU.

Well, all of us two weeks ago that said he shouldn't have left because he was only one play away from being the starter were right. Especially the way a QB gets used in this system. Let's not pat ourselves on the back. The kid left. It is unfortunate. I tend to be in the quitter camp but there's nothing we can do about it. Embrace what we have and move on. Thank goodness it's not Michigan this week.

How is Power 5 football different than what your kids played? More talent yields more options. Your kids had limited options so it is easy to preach "stay the course" Gebbia was picked up by another P5 school within a week. It is sanctimonious to hold Gebbia to a higher standard than Scott Frost who did the exact same thing at Stanford. Did you raise your kids better than Carol Frost?
